Since 2015, Olga Drozdova, People's Artist of Russia, began her career from the farthest corner of our homeland. The Far Eastern town of Nakhodka, and then Vladivostok, Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg) and, finally, Moscow and the stage of the Sovremennik Theater led a talented woman to the heights of Russian show business.
Popular domestic actress Olga Drozdova currently has dozens of theatrical productions and film works. A native of the Far East was able to conquer not only the heart of Dmitry Pevtsov, but also touch the sensual strings of millions of fans of her talent.
Biography and career of Olga Borisovna Drozdova
On the funniest day in 1965, which falls on April 1, in the small town of Nakhodka, Primorsky Krai, the future People's Artist of Russia, Olga Borisovna Drozdova, was born. The explosive genetic mixture of a descendant of a noble family of his father (Boris Fedorovich Drozdov - a sea captain) and gypsy blood from his mother could not but affect the girl's appearance and temperament.
The girl’s decision to become an artist came after visiting her performance staged by the Khabarovsk Drama Theater, which arrived on tour in her native Nakhodka. After the death of her father at the age of fifteen, Olga had a very difficult time: she had to wash the floors and work as a landscaper. However, this did not stop her from becoming a gold medalist.
And then there was the Vladivostok Institute of Arts, from where she hastily left without explanation, the Sverdlovsk Theater University (course of Dmitry Astrakhan), unsuccessful admission to the Shchukin School and, finally, the Shchepkin Theater School, where she completely completed the course of Vladimir Safronov.
At the end of the theater university, Olga Drozdova became a member of the troupe of the Moscow theater "Sovremennik", where she still serves. Spectators could get acquainted with her work in productions: Chekhov's Three Sisters, Three Comrades by Erich Maria Remarque, Shakespeare’s Windsor Mockers, Demons by F. M. Dostoevsky, Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard, Tennessee’s Small Ships Warning Williamas and many others.
She made her debut in the movie Drozdov back in Sverdlovsk with an episodic role in the film by Vladimir Laptev "Dashing trouble is the beginning." In 1992, Olga first gets the main role in the adventure drama "Alice and the Book-maker", where she starred with her future husband - Dmitry Pevtsov. Today, behind the shoulders of the popular artist, there are already many film works, among which I would like to mention the following: “Walk along the scaffold”, “Queen Margot”, “Gangster Petersburg”, “Stop on demand”, “Alexander Pushkin”, “Coco Chanel”, “ Champions of the Gateway, Einstein. Theory of Love.
Despite the fact that the artist avoids any public events besides working in the theater and cinema, in 2015, when she turned fifty, she took part in the filming of TV shows “SMAK” and “Alone with Everyone” (Channel One). In the same anniversary year, she was awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
