Nikolai Nikolaevich Platoshkin was born on October 19, 1965, on the territory of the military town of the Stupino district of the Moscow region. He is a political diplomat in international law, a public figure and a doctor of historical sciences.

After graduating from school with a gold medal, Nikolai Platoshkin moved to Moscow, where, without any doubt, he entered the State Institute of International Relations and also graduated with honors from it in 1988. After returning to Russia, he heads the department of the Armenian Republic at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. In 2018, Nikolai Platoshkin created a course of lectures "on the years of the war and the post-war time in the German Republic." To date, the scientist and politician heads the department of diplomacy and international relations of the State Humanitarian University of Moscow. He is a regular guest and an expert on modern politics in various politically oriented analytical programs on radio stations and television.
