Types and tasks of social insurance
Compulsory insurance mainly refers to the active population. The most important tasks of insurance are: the creation of monetary funds and the equation of the financial situation between the people who are employed at work and those who do not work. We can say that this is a kind of protection for citizens, including dependents, from a lack of money due to disability. The latter may be associated with illness, disability, old age, the period of pregnancy and child rearing, etc.
In the Russian Federation, compulsory social insurance is divided into several types: health insurance, in connection with pregnancy and childbirth, accident, compulsory medical insurance, compulsory pension insurance and in the event of the death of the insured citizen. There are 3 funds: pension, compulsory health insurance and social insurance funds.
It should be noted that they all have their own funds and are not dependent on the state budget. They receive money from insurance premiums that the policyholders themselves transfer to the funds. Thus, the protection of the interests of citizens is ensured.
