Recently, quite a few films have appeared on television screens that are dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War, but the series "Scouts" is somewhat aloof from the bulk of such films. In this tape, the viewer shows the events of the last military spring of 1945, when hostilities unfolded already in Germany and the Czech Republic, but real events and fantastic assumptions by the scriptwriters of the picture are surprisingly combined here.

According to the plot of the film, a group of Colonel Kuznetsov (Boris Shcherbakov) is given the task of checking the information obtained during the military intelligence operation. We are talking about the next possible "weapon of retaliation, " about the successful work on which the propaganda machine of the Third Reich blew for a long time. But while ballistic missiles were being worked out at the Peenemünde training ground, so-called diskettes ("flying saucers") were developed in a laboratory located in the Czech Tatras, according to information from disparate sources. According to modern historians, all these conversations remained conversations that did not find their concrete embodiment, but the creators of the Scouts demonstrated in the series that trial samples of new weapons were created. Even the first pilot launches of disklets took place here, and now the laboratory and the plant are preparing for evacuation, because the advanced units of the Red Army have already come close to the place of deployment. Colonel Kuznetsov’s group should find a laboratory and seize a train, which, according to the Wehrmacht’s leadership, should not fall into the hands of the Red Army under any circumstances - the creators of the “retaliation weapon” may surrender only to the Americans or the British. the train will be found and captured, but the adventures of the scouts do not end there. Even, it would seem, the peaceful life of the reconnaissance group in the house of such a decent Czech family will actually be full of adventures and exploits, because it is so difficult to understand who is who in fact. And behind the face of a man who smiles and talks peacefully with members of the reconnaissance group, there is a seasoned killer and a Nazi, on whose hands is the blood of many innocent people. The last battle of the scouts will be completed many days after the Victory, because for many soldiers in Czechoslovakia, hostilities continued after May 9, 1945.
