Mora Lynn Tierney is an American actress and producer. Winner of the Golden Globe Award, nominee for the Emmy Award and the Guild of Actors. She began her film career in the late 1980s of the last century.

Mora was born in the winter of 1965 in the United States in a family of Irish Catholics. Her mother worked in real estate, and her father was involved in politics. He was a member of Boston City Council, and then its president. Mora was the first child of three children.
Tierney graduated from Catholic high school for girls in Hingham. Then she entered the Notre Dame Academy.

Creative career
Tierney played her first roles in television projects. In 1987, she starred in the comedy melodrama "Student Exchange." Then, in the crime drama "Crossing the Mob", she appeared in the series: Family Ties, Booker, Law and Order.
In 1991, Tierney got a role in the crime comedy The Story of a Robbery. The film told the story of three strange friends: Lucy, Vivian and Monti. They work in the restaurant "Linguini" and one day they decide to rob a place that the three people hate.
In 1992, Mora starred in the thriller White Sands. The film takes place in New Mexico. Deputy sheriff Rey Dolezal finds the murdered man in the White Sands desert.
