Biography
Maria Mironova was born in Moscow in 1973. Her parents became the famous Andrey Mironov and Ekaterina Gradova, which immediately predetermined the future fate of the girl. Nevertheless, Mary’s life originally went according to a different scenario. The father decided to leave the family, marrying actress Marina Golubkina, and her mother raised Masha. The girl discovered a talent for dancing, and relatives thought of giving her to the ballet, but everything was decided by chance.
Director Maria Stanislav Govorukhin invited young Maria to the screen test, and she was approved for the role of Becky Thatcher in the film "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer." The little actress coped with the task, but the shooting was not easy for her: Masha timidly behaved in public and was afraid to enter into a conversation with adult actors. But it was necessary to move forward, and after graduating from school, the girl entered the VGIK, at the same time starting her career at the Lenkom Theater. She could not finish her studies: the novice actress married and gave birth to a son, so for some time she disappeared from the attention of the public.
The first serious filming of Maria Mironova took place in 2000, when two films with her participation were released - "Russian riot" and "Wedding". In 2002, she brilliantly played one of the main roles in the movie "Oligarch", and a year later appeared in the series "Leading Roles". The success was consolidated by shooting in the fantastic blockbuster Night Watch, released in 2004, as well as its subsequent continuation, Day Watch.
Maria Mironova began to be invited to almost all major Russian projects. She starred in the TV series Death of an Empire and Homeland, as well as the films State Counselor and Three Musketeers. One of the latest achievements was shooting in the space epic Salyut-7, released in 2017.
