Only the number of votes of viewers determined the winner in a new project on Channel One. The number of their sympathies was won by the singer from Orenburg, Lidia Muzaleva. Of course, her victory was not an accident. Many years of work intertwined and fused in it, a beautiful voice and longing for the audience according to the glorious traditions of the sincerely open and free performance of Russian songs.
Mangalovs
The singer’s birthplace was the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Here in 1956, her voice sounded for the first time. And she grew up in Shushensky. Like everyone else, ran along streets unfamiliar with asphalt, fished and bathed in the river Shushka. Along with the course of general school subjects, she learned to play the violin.
Mom, Taisiya Andreyevna, worked at a poultry farm. Father, as an artist and a person in the free profession, was often away from his family. In childhood, the education of Lida and her brother Volodya was mainly done by Varvara's grandmother. She also conveyed to her granddaughter her great love for folk songs. Already at school, Lida was an artist, having been with the propaganda team in all the settlements of the region.
Fateful meetings
The natural gift and the dream of becoming a singer was further developed after the Moscow State Institute of Culture, which Muzaleva graduated in 1977. As a student during the holidays, she met Paul's future husband. And after the wedding, the young wife moved to him in Obninsk. It all started there.
The next meeting place was the famous "Builder". In this House of Culture under the wing of V.S. Pikalov gained height, feeling the elbow of a friend, Muzaleva and her colleagues in love with folk music. Together they experienced stellar minutes and alarming hours, when perestroika difficulties almost brought to an end the magnificent collective that had been sung over the years.
A happy combination of circumstances and fate brought Muzaleva to the Kaluga Regional Philharmonic, when the celebrated folk instrument orchestra was looking for a new soloist. Since then, with Kalinka, the singer traveled on the floor of Europe on tour and performed on the most famous stages in Moscow.
Two inseparable voices - singers and button accordion
Muzaleva’s first partner is still next to her on stage. The voice of the accordion Vladimir Simonov and the voice of the singer are inseparable. From the very beginning, from the first joint exit to the audience in the recreation center "Builder", they most surprisingly inspire and complement each other. And the music of one soul sounds the alto timbre of Muzaleva and the accordion of Simonov in the solo performances of the singer.
Today they are both at the ranks. And the repertoire of the Honored Artist and Honored Worker of Culture has grown to 200 romances, folk compositions and original songs. In their work, the continuity and continuation of the traditions of the great truly folk singers of the level of Obukhova, Ruslanova, Zykina, Shulzhenko can be traced.
Second Zykina with her own personality
When in the finals of the television competition Muzaleva sang "Orenburg Downy Scarf", she was unanimously proclaimed the second Zykina. Although she has a completely different timbre. Yes, and the air Muzalev differently gaining. Low notes are more soulful and velvety. Critics unanimously note the bright personality of the singer.
Muzaleva herself does not hide that Zykina, who made an invaluable contribution to the treasury of the Russian song, is her idol. In 1999, they met while performing at the "Singing Russia" festival. Then Muzaleva gave Zykina her first disc and received special praise for one of the songs there. And in 2013, a disc dedicated to great talent appeared, where Muzaleva performed Zykina's hits.
The heroine on stage, not in the socialite
In everyday life, the Honored Artist is distinguished by modesty and restraint. Muzaleva is not very fond of answering questions from the press about biography and is in no hurry to attract public attention by flickering in a secular chronicle. They will not recognize her in shops and on the streets. Details of personal life are not publicly discussed.
Although over all the years, Muzaleva has not managed to build up a protective carapace against rudeness and indifference. Until now, bureaucratic or domestic lack of culture has hurt her soul. But she prefers to respond to rudeness with a disarming smile. Heals wounds with songs, contact with the viewer.
And not only spiritual. Once Muzaleva was sick, she began to cough and felt cold. I was worried that she would not be able to sing in this state. But people are waiting for her performance. I went out to them - and then miraculously the voice erupted! It has long been so inspired, with such devotion, she did not sing.
Costume designer herself
Artistry and its sincerity Muzaleva invariably captivates the public. She tries to present each song as a dramatic work. Improving his creative manner, he does not avoid experiments. The audience gratefully and enthusiastically accepted Muzaleva’s joint performance with the Kupava dance collective and remembered the vivid choreography of The Birch Land accompanied by her soulful voice.
A great surprise for the public was the unusual stage outfits created by the singer herself. A new facet of her work was the image of a magnificent and majestic Russian beauty. The fantasies of the skilled needlewoman in folklore style have no boundaries. Colleagues even suspect that Muzaleva is consulting with her husband, the famous artist Pavel Wolfson.
