Early years.
Larisa Dolina was born on September 10, 1955 in the city of Baku. Her father, Kudelman Alexander Markovich, was Jewish by nationality, and builder by profession. Larisa's mother, Galina Izrailevna (maiden name Dolina), worked as a typist. Later, Larisa decided to change the name Kudelman to the Valley - her mother’s maiden name - considering her more harmonious.
The girl’s musical abilities showed up at an early age. She possessed absolute pitch, good musical memory and a strong beautiful voice.
When Larisa was 2.5 years old, the family moved to Odessa, where her maternal grandmother lived. The living conditions there were rather difficult; for a long time they lived in a communal apartment. At age 6, the girl was sent to a music school, which she graduated in cello. And a year later, on the seventh birthday of Larisa, the first musical instrument appeared in the family: the piano of Red October. In childhood, in addition to her passion for music, Larisa liked foreign languages very much, and she even thought about a career as a translator. But years passed and the natural talent for music prevailed over linguistic abilities.

While still at school, Larisa already sang in Odessa restaurants. In the 9th grade, she accidentally got to the audition, to the place of the soloist of the ensemble "Wave" and was accepted. With great difficulty, she managed to leave school and become an artist of the Odessa Philharmonic. School had to finish in absentia.

Subsequently, she was a soloist of such musical groups as the “State Variety Orchestra of Armenia” under the direction of Konstantin Orbelian, “The State Variety Orchestra of Azerbaijan” under the direction of Polad Bul-Bul Oglu.
A real success for Larisa’s work was getting to know Anatoly Kroll (director of the Sovremennik orchestra), who immediately noticed the jazz voice of the singer. Then, Larisa composed an individual jazz program "Anthology of Jazz Vocal", with which she performed in different parts of the Soviet Union and became popular as a pop and jazz singer. In the mid-80s, the artist changed her repertoire, changing jazz to pop music. Larisa moves to Leningrad, where she works independently, with her team and such show programs:
