The army of Japan, consisting of samurai, was distinguished by an unstable composition. In order to organize these warriors, a stern commander was required. Under the guidance of such a man, the samurai went into battle and almost always achieved victory.
A bit of history
Samurai dates back to the VIII century. It was formed as a result of Taik's reforms (they were led by Prince Naka-no Oe and his subject Nakatomi no Kamatari). The first representatives of the new class were runaway peasants and free hunters, who were looking for money on the borders of the empire. The foundation for the development of samurai was laid by the emperor Kammu in order to overcome opponents. For several centuries, the Japanese knights have done a lot for the good of the country. There was a period when the samurai, led by their commander, actually ruled the country.
Over time, the people who were part of the caste began to leave it. Each warrior changed his occupation. Already at the end of 1866, samurai was officially abolished.
