Katherine began writing in her school years. Her grandmother had a great influence on the formation of the girl’s interests. She was a writer, so from childhood she instilled in Catherine a love of literature and creativity.
Facts from the biography
The girl was born in the winter of 1942 in the United States. The family belonged to people of art. Mom was a pianist, father - a singer, musician and artist, grandmother - a writer.
From childhood, Katherine fell in love with creativity. The girl spent a lot of time reading books. She liked to discuss the readings with her grandmother, because she wrote novels all her life, so she could tell a lot of interesting things to her granddaughter.
She composed her first works in school years. By the age of fourteen, the girl had already written several short stories and poems. Since all her works were about love, they were in great demand among friends and classmates.
After completing her elementary education, Katherine continued her studies at the University of Texas at Austin Department of Humanities, choosing a literary direction. Then she entered Boston College (Boston College) in the historical department, where she studied European history.
In her student years, Catherine continued to write poetry and short stories. After studying history, she had a desire to start writing a novel about past events, filled with love adventures, intrigues and the struggle for power. But she came to writing her own books only a few years later.
After graduating, Coulter quickly found a job in one of the prestigious companies located on Wall Street. Her responsibilities included writing speeches for the management of the company.
Once, after reading another love story, Katherine told her husband that she did not like either the plot or the images of the main characters of the book. She said she could write much more interesting. Then the husband suggested that Catherine seriously think about writing her own work.
All weekend, with her husband, Catherine came up with the story of her future novel, discussing the characters, the scene and the exciting storylines. A few days later she sat down to write her first book.
Literary work
Catherine wrote her first novel in 1978. She sent the work to the publisher and a few days later received a response from the leadership. They were ready not only to publish her novel, but also to contract three more books if they were written by Katherine within a year. She agreed and literally the next day sat down to write the following works.
For four years, Coulter combined the main work with writing. Soon, she already had enough money to leave the company, where she continued to write speeches for managers, and completely immerse herself in literary work.
In the future, Coulter began to unite all her novels in a series connected by storylines and main characters. To date, eleven episodes have been released: Baron, The Vikings, The Devil, The Star, The Magic, The Legacy, The Bride, The Night, The Song, The Regency Age., "Action Romance FBI Agents."
Coulter also has several early works that were not part of the series.
