Every sane person understands that war is a terrible disaster, and that any conflicts, disagreements are best resolved peacefully. Especially when you consider that in the last century there were two world wars that claimed tens of millions of lives. But, unfortunately, even today armed conflicts are taking place on Earth, which often reach an extreme degree of bitterness.
Syrian Civil War
Media reports from this Middle Eastern country resemble real battlefield reports. The protest of part of the population against President Assad and his inner circle, which began in March 2011, at first relatively peaceful, quickly escalated. And after religious fanatics, extremists began to take an active part in it, a real civil war began in Syria. Its participants behave extremely fiercely. There are frequent cases of brutal massacres of prisoners, as well as civilians, without distinction between age and gender. In fairness, it should be noted that part of the blame for the aggravation of the situation lies with the Assad government, which was late in carrying out the necessary reforms.
The situation is even more aggravated due to the fact that Syria is the object of the geopolitical struggle of many powerful players, both regional and worldwide. For example, Russia supports Assad, although it openly talks about the mistakes made by him. The United States and Saudi Arabia, by contrast, support opponents of the current government. According to far from complete information, about 170 thousand people became victims of this fierce conflict. More than a million Syrians were forced to flee outside their own country. Several rounds of negotiations between representatives of the warring parties in Geneva ended to no avail.
