Police and military personnel have a lot in common or close. Moreover, both in content and in form. In particular, in the form of clothing. Police officers are united with soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces, for example, wearing shoulder straps and awarding special ranks - from ordinary to general.
Department of the Interior
One of the largest organizations in the Russian law enforcement system is the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of the Interior, headed by Colonel-General of Police Vladimir Kolokoltsev. The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are awarded special ranks of one of the three possible categories as the length of service: police, internal service or justice. Initial in all three categories is ordinary. The maximum - the rank of general of the police of the Russian Federation not yet awarded to anyone.
Special ranks of the police of the Russian Federation can only be obtained by adult citizens of Russia who have joined the internal affairs bodies and who have been appointed to one of the positions of rank-and-file or command staff. In accordance with the Federal Law on the Police, these ranks are almost identical to the special military. There are two exceptions - corporals and marshals are absent, and the highest rank is the police general of the Russian Federation. The main difference from similar army ranks is that an additional noun, “police, ” is spoken and written.
