Instruction manual
1
Crossing the Russian-Ukrainian border, the guest of the country must fill out a migration card, which indicates the purpose of arrival in the country (in this case, a guest visit) and the address at which he is going to live. If a person goes not on a visit, but on a tourist or business trip, he indicates the name of the hotel and room.
2
Upon the arrival of your guest in Russia within three days, you must come to the department of the FMS or to the passport desk at the house management and fill out a notification of the arrival of a foreign citizen. You will have to pay a certain state fee, for which you will be given a special receipt. Attach a copy of the guest’s migration card, originals of your and his passports and their copies to the arrival notification. Please note that the registration in your passport must exactly match the address of residence indicated in the immigration document of the visitor. In addition, the registration takes into account the number of meters of living space - at least 12, so it may not be possible to register several foreign citizens in one apartment.
3
Your guest will be given a tear-off part of the arrival form, which he will have to carry with him all his time in Russia.
4
Before leaving the guest from Ukraine, take a copy from his notice and not later than two days after the departure of the visitor, take it to the department of the Federal Migration Service or to the passport office to remove the foreign citizen from temporary registration. As a rule, a CIS resident in Russia can last no more than three months.
5
There is an opportunity not to come to the FMS personally, but to send all the necessary documents by mail so as not to stand in line. But for this service you will have to pay at least two hundred rubles. In addition, a personal meeting with the migration service is still more reliable and can help to avoid problems when returning home.
