1
Write a letter. If you will not draw up an inventory of the attachment, seal the letter in an envelope. Letters with the inventory are sealed in the post office after checking the attachments by the postal worker. Do not forget that there are certain rules governing the sending of letters: the maximum weight of the item, the size of the envelope, and the list of items that are prohibited from being sent in this way. Details can be found on the website of the Russian Post or clarified in the post office.
2
Write down the addresses of the recipient and sender of the letter in accordance with the requirements in the envelope columns established for this: full name of the recipient, or the name of the legal entity, its address - street, house number, building, apartment, settlement, district, region, territory, republic. For international shipments, it’s also a country. Be sure to include the zip code. If necessary, check the index on the Russian Post website or at the post office.
3
Go to the nearest post office for a return receipt form. Form 119 can also be downloaded from the Internet, filled out in a text editor and printed.
4
On the front side of the form, check the boxes in the corresponding subcategories of your mail (simple, custom, with declared value). Please note that the notification itself can also be simple or custom.
5
Write in the “To” and “Address” columns your coordinates in the same sequence as when filling out the addresses on the mail envelope. Be sure to include your zip code.
6
Fill in all the necessary columns in the field surrounded by a bold line on the back of the notification: subcategory of departure, amount of declared value / cash on delivery, if you declare them (if not, leave these fields blank), details of the recipient - full name, or name, address with index (see sample).
7
Hand over the envelope and the completed notification form to the post office employee. Pay for services in accordance with the established tariffs. Be sure to save the check. Until you receive a delivery confirmation, you can trace the path of the letter on the Russian Post website using the postal identifier indicated on the check.
