Virtually no one is safe from getting into a pre-trial detention center (colloquially a prison, or, as they say in such places, “into a prison”). And for a person who accidentally lands in these places, much depends on how he enters the cell, where he will be identified.

Instruction manual
1
The first thing to do when stepping over the camera threshold is to say hello. The best wording for this is "great, lads."
By doing this, you will respect those who are already behind bars and will become your closest neighbors in this limited space for at least a week (all newcomers hope to be free in a few days, but the practice, unfortunately, is that these aspirations are fulfilled extremely seldom).
You can immediately mention the name and article of the Criminal Code, according to which you are accused. You can stipulate that you "sew" it.
The question "why did you get it" traditional in these places is also customarily answered with the article number.
2
Be prepared to answer a number of questions as well. Most likely, you will be invited to a conversation with the beholder (the so-called prisoner who is responsible for complying with the unwritten arrest laws in the cell ("hut"), called "concepts") and other prisoners who are respected in the criminal community.
Questions must be answered briefly, not to bustle, not to try to pretend to be a connoisseur of prison rules (even if you read a lot about them and heard from experienced prisoners, this does not replace personal experience).
But financial well-being is better not to advertise. It is optimal to show yourself as an average person in this regard or as a poor person, especially if you are one.
3
The camera elite (usually the one watching, if he is present and does not sleep) will voice to you the main prohibitions related to behavior in the camera. Listen carefully and try to follow these rules: with the principle of the inevitability of punishment for deviating from prison standards in prison, the situation is, unfortunately, much stricter than in a state with laws.
4
However, do not hope that you will be devoted to all the subtleties of "concepts": a certain calculation is always made to catch the inexperienced beginner on their insufficient knowledge. Therefore, in the early days, carefully look at what is happening and draw conclusions.
Although it is not forbidden to clarify interesting moments with more knowledgeable prisoners (as they say in these places, "it is not a zapad to be interested"). By the way, the word "ask" (and many others, seemingly innocent) behind bars should be used very carefully. It is preferable to say "interested."
5
Separately, it is worth mentioning the so-called "General" (in the criminal world there is a spelling of its own, and this word, according to "concepts", should be capitalized) - a kind of chamber "mutual assistance fund". If you have something to "pay" (for example, there is a certain supply of cigarettes, products, managed to carry cash), it is better to immediately offer your feasible participation. This will definitely add you points in the eyes of cellmates.
Participation in the "General" is voluntary, and everyone who "pays", he decides how much. In practice, it is optimal to contribute one-third of the stocks or contents of a program to this fund.
6
After a successful first acquaintance with fellow inmates, one should not forget that everything is just beginning, and do not relax until reaching freedom.
In the meantime, you are in captivity, you should constantly be on the lookout and wait for surprises, often not the most pleasant from the prison administration, as well as from other prisoners.
note
You need to understand that only you are able to help yourself. First of all - no need to despair. Even in prison, you can build relationships with others and slightly smooth out the negative aspects of imprisonment. Keep in touch with loved ones. Often it is very difficult for a person who first finds himself in a prison cell to get used to the specific atmosphere of a prison. Try to establish friendly relations with your cellmates and other prisoners. Be discreet and considerate.
Useful advice
We must discard the prejudices raised by the TV that convicts are dumb-headed lawless people, and understand one thing: the same people are in prison as everywhere else, only they were sent to prison earlier than you. They are also called prison veins, because with their help many important issues are solved, affairs are done, accomplices agree on how to behave in court, etc.
