Biography
Alexander Vasilievich Bondar was born in September 1952 in the village of Lipovets, Vinnytsia Region of Ukraine. His family was not poor, but Sasha's parents could not afford much. However, this did not stop the boy from independently entering the technical school of railway transport and graduating with honors.
In 1971, Alexander was called up for service in the Soviet Army, where he ended up in the missile forces division. After the demobilization, he got a job as a railroad master in his native city. In the same year, Lenin decided on the massive construction of railways throughout Russia, and Alexander had the share to build them.

The team of Alexandra Bondar began her work with deforestation under the highway. Then they built wooden bridges on the highway and built culverts. Over the long years of his work, Alexander and his team laid more than 300 kilometers of the railway.

In 1983, Alexander graduated in absentia from the Irkutsk Institute of Railway Engineers.

After the construction was completed, Alexander continued to work in the same field. Soon he was promoted to the position of the NATS foreman, and then to the deputy chief of production.

In November 2011, Alexander was honored to speak with the President of the Russian Federation. Dmitry Medvedev noted Alexander as one of the most skilled foremen in laying a highway near Yakutsk. By laying this railway link, he earned the title "Hero of Socialist Labor" and became an honorary citizen of the Republic of Sakha.
Awards of Alexander Bondar
As an ordinary builder, Alexander repeatedly received medals and certificates. Among his main merits are:
- In the early 80s he was awarded the title of "Hero of Socialist Labor." In the same year he received the Order of Lenin.
- In the process, he was awarded the medal "For the construction of the Baikal-Amur Railway" and the order "For Labor Valor."
- In 1979, he became a laureate of the Lenin Komsomol Prize.
