I’ll tell you right away that it’s not just difficult to enter a theater university, but it’s extremely arduous, especially when it comes to a government institution. But you must always try!
If you have firmly decided to enter the acting department, then go to the auditions at once to all the universities known and accessible to you. No need to selectively approach this matter - try to show yourself wherever you can.
If you were previously engaged in acting, went to an amateur circle, etc., then forget about it as a nightmare, and never mention it. Masters who are gaining courses in creative universities do not want to correct someone else’s mistakes, which are necessary (let's face it), they are looking for a blank sheet on which to draw what they want. For them, the ideal is a “clean sheet” with an interesting texture and the brightest personality.
Be as open as possible during listening, behave at ease - let them see your personality. It may happen that they will like your texture and personality, but they won’t be able to take you on a course because you simply don’t fit into the performance that they planned to put on this course - this happens very often - don't be upset.
If they listen to you for a long time, communicate, scold you, it means that they like you and they see something in you. It happens that they don’t listen at all (listen to one line, and you are on the second round) - this suggests that your texture is suitable for them - this, of course, is good, but far from everything - the competition is ahead! It is much more realistic to enter a commercial university, just see that there is accreditation and study the biography of the master who is gaining a course. It’s more important not where you study, but who your teacher was!
