A guest visa differs from others in that the purpose of your visit to the country is to visit a friend or relative living there. To confirm this, you must provide the consulate with an invitation and documents confirming the status of the person inviting you in his country of residence. The procedure for issuing an invitation in different countries may vary significantly.
You will need
- - an invitation from a foreign host;
- - other documents from the package for applying for a short-term visa;
- - money to pay the consular fee.
Instruction manual
1
In many countries, to issue an invitation, it is necessary to contact the migration office and send the original document received to the invitee. The service for issuing an invitation in this case is usually paid. There may also be restrictions on the status of the inviting party. For example, a foreigner can be invited to the Czech Republic only by her citizen or holder of a permanent residence permit, who relies after five years of residence in the country for a temporary residence permit. Owners of the temporary have no such opportunity.
2
Specify the requirements for the invitation at the consulate: is it necessary to be the original (and most often need it) or, for example, a fax or printout of an email, is there a strict form by which this document should be drawn up, or arbitrary information must be contained in it. Pass all the requirements to the inviting party.
Most likely, the consulate will also want to see evidence of the status of the inviting party in their state: a copy of the passport page with personal data, a residence permit. Check this with the specific consulate and also pass on the information received to the person who invites you.
3
Gather the remaining documents necessary for applying for a visa in accordance with the requirements of the consulate. Most likely, a certificate of employment and / or other evidence of financial solvency will be needed. For example, a statement of the balance in the bank account and the history of receipts to it for a period of six months. Travel insurance is often needed. Tickets will also be required. You will need a passport (and sometimes an internal passport), a photo that meets the requirements of the consulate (usually you can find them on its website), and a completed visa application form.
4
In some cases, you can fill out a visa application form electronically on the website of the consulate, visa center.
5
The procedure for applying for a visa at a consulate or visa center is also different. In some, they are accepted only by appointment by phone or via the Internet. In others - in the order of a live queue.
Find out this question in the consulate of interest and act on the situation. If necessary, sign up and come at the appointed time.
6
When applying, you will have to pay a consular fee. In this regard, each consulate also has its own policy. In some, it is accepted in cash at the cash desk of the embassy. Check in what currency the money is accepted: in rubles, euros or other, and whether there are additional requirements. There are also consulates accepting payment through a bank. In some cases, it is done on the day of applying for the details received at the consulate, in others you must have a receipt for payment already on the day you submit the documents.
7
When all documents are ready and handed over to the consulate or visa center, you will be assigned the day on which you must come for a decision. If the outcome is successful, you will receive a passport with a ready-made visa.
