Prospects for moving abroad depend on the migration policy of a particular state. Each one has her own, but some general requirements for potential migrants can be identified. They practically do not want to see losers anywhere, but are interested in those who can be useful to their new homeland: either skill or money.

Instruction manual
1
To paraphrase a well-known saying, the one who owns the information owns the world. Therefore, you need to start preparing for the move by choosing the country of interest and collecting information about it. Learn official information, guides, impressions of travelers and Russian-speaking residents of the country. In any of them, as a rule, there is at least one forum where compatriots living there communicate. Themed communities on different social networks are also at your disposal. What excites people living there, what do they like in their new homeland and what don’t, and why, what problems do they most often face? All this will become for you both food for thought and a source of information about the realities that you are faced with.
2
The fact that tourism and emigration are very different things has long been known. However, it is better if possible to visit the selected country: to see different regions and cities, to communicate, as far as language proficiency allows, with the local population. The tourist’s own observations will be incomplete, but much better to see once than to hear and read a hundred times.
3
If the desire to move does not disappear, but grows stronger, give yourself an answer to the main question: what are you going to live there, how much will you be able to earn in the chosen way, what you can afford with this money in the prices of a potential new homeland, what prospects for improving the starting situation you see and what is required to achieve them. Understanding all this will help you choose the optimal basis for a long stay in the country.
4
When you have answers to such important questions, it's time to explore the options for moving. Nobody needs anyone for beautiful eyes, even in their own country, and even more so in a foreign country. Find out if there are immigration programs in the selected country, and if so, what are the requirements for the participants and how much do you meet them. What other reasons exist to move to a specific country (opening your own business or a representative office of a foreign company there, status of a well-to-do pensioner, outstanding achievements in a particular field, etc.)? How applicable to you, what rights give and obligations impose, what are the ways to confirm your belonging to one or another category.
5
Having determined on what grounds it is better for you to enter, you can proceed to the collection of documents.
In addition to confirming the grounds for a long stay, you will also need to make sure that consular officials and immigration authorities see you as someone who has, where and what to live for the first time after moving, who does not have serious health problems and takes care of their decision in in case of occurrence. The requirements for documents confirming each of these circumstances are different in different countries, so check with the consulate or directly with the immigration department how to be specific in your case.
6
Also, find out the procedure for receiving documents from those who are going to a country of interest for a long time, and the timing of consideration of applications. In some cases, signing up for a consulate is necessary for several weeks, or even months. It will take more than one week to decide on your candidacy. This will allow you to better plan both the preparation process and the waiting for a decision. Well, if it is positive, you can go to the ticket office for tickets and to a new country for a new life.
note
Almost no country will provide you with a permanent residence permit right away. Depending on the laws of a particular state, its expectation takes on average from 2 to 5 years, there are other options. All this time you in most countries will have to confirm the reasons for a long stay there and the lack of financial, housing and medical problems.
The next step after obtaining a residence permit is usually the registration of citizenship. In many countries it can be obtained in addition to an existing passport. But more often, a prerequisite is the rejection of the former.
Useful advice
You can also go from which countries you have the greatest chance of entering — that is, by studying migration laws. But before making a decision, you still need to collect a maximum of information about the country of interest.
