The size of the state fee for issuing a foreign passport to a citizen of the Russian Federation depends on what type of document he wants to receive.
State duty for a passport
The fact is that today a citizen of the Russian Federation who needs a passport can choose one of two types of documents: an ordinary passport, consisting of paper pages, or a new generation passport containing an electronic storage medium. The first of them will be valid for 5 years, while the second will allow you to travel outside the Russian Federation without replacing the document for 10 years.
However, a new passport will cost the owner a little more than a regular document. So, article 333.28 of the current Tax Code of the Russian Federation, registered in the code of laws of our countries under the number 117-ФЗ dated August 5, 2000, establishes that the state fee for issuing a standard passport is 1000 rubles, while for issuing a passport with electronic media you will have to pay already 2500 rubles.
