In our country, those who served in the structures of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of the Interior, the departments of the fire service, the drug control departments, and also the penitentiary system are becoming military pensioners. To receive a military pension for seniority, serve in any of these structures for at least 20 years. In addition, a pension is granted in case of disability or loss of the breadwinner of a widow of a military serviceman.

Determine for what periods you will be reading the experience and prepare the necessary documents. In addition to the military service itself, the periods of service in the internal affairs department, work on the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident, service on nuclear submarines and surface ships, parachuting and some other types of service are separately taken into account. To apply for a military pension, contact the local branch of the Russian Pension Fund and write a statement. Prepare the following documents: passport and its copy, military ID, employment record (if any), all documents confirming special conditions of service: certificate of participation in hostilities, the liquidator of the Chernobyl accident, disability documents, etc. If you have changed your first or last name, you must also inform about this. If the military man worked after the dismissal from the service and the employer made deductions to the local pension fund, he can, in addition to the military, also receive the insurance part of the state labor pension.

Attach to the application a document on the amount of average monthly earnings for 5 years, which must be obtained from the government agencies where you served. By law, the size of a military pension is required to be at least 80% of the official salary. In case of disability of groups 1 and 2, servicemen who have received military injuries are awarded a pension in the amount of 85% of the allowance.
