The review is a good opportunity to share your impressions about the last concert, to collect all thoughts together and put them on the shelves. But for others to want to read it, it must be written competently and interestingly.
Instruction manual
1
In order for the review to be sustained and clear, make a plan before writing it. Highlight the main points that you want to highlight, arrange what happened in chronological order, make notes on those points for which you have ideas ready. The drawn up plan will help to adhere to the structure of the narrative, not to forget important details and not to make too many extra digressions.
2
Write a review entry. In it you can indicate the basic information about the performing team, tell us what caused the visit to your city (if the speakers were visitors). Also in the introduction you can write about your expectations on the eve of the concert and talk about whether they were confirmed or not.
3
Write about everything in detail, preferably in chronological order. Describe the mood that prevailed in the hall before the concert, about how the musicians went on stage, did they communicate with the audience or simply played their set. Separately tell about the played compositions. Mark those that caused the greatest resonance in the auditorium. If among them were completely new musical compositions (or, on the contrary, have not been performed for a long time), be sure to mention this as well.
4
Tell us about the concert costumes of the speakers: were they present or not. Write about whether this is characteristic of them. If the concert program was theatrical or invited guests participated in it, tell us more about this in your review.
5
Give a general assessment of the past concert. Highlight its strengths and weaknesses. Focus on what mistakes were made, how they could be avoided. If you have at your disposal an interview with the musicians that they gave before or after the concert, insert the most interesting excerpts into the review. Comment on them if you wish. Such remarks will make the review more interesting and informative.
6
Reread it to find and correct errors. Remove unnecessary, rewrite phrases that are difficult for perception. Let someone you know read the review to point out material flaws.
