Russian Post has a rich history. As early as the beginning of the 18th century, the foundations for unification of all mail items were laid, a uniform sample of their appearance was established, special stamps appeared that made it possible to register and find letters and parcels in case of loss. In the 21st century, our national postal operator has automated sorting points, uses computers, scanners, and software. But still, senders often have the question "How to search for a parcel?".
You will need
- - receipt issued upon receipt of the parcel;
- - Internet connection.
Instruction manual
1
The technology of receiving and processing parcels is based on the assignment of a unique barcode mail identifier. The domestic Russian identifier includes 14 characters, the international postal identifier - 13. Data on the parcel and the status of its processing are entered into a single accounting and control system (OASU RPO) at each stage of passage. The mail identifier in the OASU RPO system allows you to uniquely determine the movement of your shipment via the Internet. However, the percentage of information input is not 100%, since the result is directly related to the technical equipment of the Russian post facilities, and it is clearly not enough.
2
To search for a parcel, go to the Russian Post website, in the Tracking parcels section. In the "Postal Identifier" field, enter the parcel number indicated on the receipt issued at the time of receipt. Please note that the postal identifier is indicated immediately below the receipt number and is completely identical to the barcode on the package. Next, click the "Find" button. After processing your request, the system will give out the status of the parcel and its location, but it is necessary to take into account the fact described in the previous paragraph. Search results in OASU RPO do not always mean that the parcel is in the specified location to date. Perhaps it was sent to the next stage of processing without reflection in a single automated system.
3
If the search for a parcel through the OASA RPO did not bring the desired results, contact the wanted post office at any post office. When filing a claim, you must have with you an identity document of the sender, and a receipt for the receipt of the parcel or a photocopy of it. Samples of application forms are posted on the official website in the User Appeals section. The mail officer who accepted the application is required to issue a tear-off coupon confirming that the search application has been accepted.
note
On the official website of the Russian Post there is a sectionMatching deadlines for sending parcels, standards for their processing and transportation. Before applying for a search, make sure that the deadlines are violated.
