E-books usually mean various types of files that contain electronic versions of works previously published in paper form. E-books can be read on a computer screen, cell phone, PDA, or a special device called an e-book or reader.
Instruction manual
1
Download several e-book files on the Internet. You can do this in free online libraries or purchase electronic publications in specialized online stores. Pay attention to the format of the downloaded files. The most popular formats are fb2, ePub, doc, txt and pdf. Books in other formats require special devices to be read, for example, Amazon Kindle readers work primarily with the Kindle and Mobi formats.
2
Download and install a reader program on your computer, PDA or cell phone. Most popular among these computer programs are Ice Book Reader, Cool Reader, and Tom Reader. The choice of readers for PDAs and smartphones is usually determined by the type and brand of device. The pdf format is best read in Adobe Reader on computers. This format is also successfully supported by some electronic readers, but it is not recommended to open it on cell phones and PDAs, since viewing large pages of such books is rather difficult on the small screens of these devices.
3
Prepare books for reading. Typically, such files are downloaded in archives. Most reader programs work successfully with archived files, but it is still advisable to extract books from archives. This must be done so that you can navigate by the names of books, and not by the numbers assigned to archives when downloading in the network library. If the name of the file with the book does not suit you, you can change it. Use latin fonts because many book readers do not support cyrillic fonts.
4
Transfer e-books from your computer’s hard drive to a reader. To do this, it is best to use a USB cable. After the download is complete, disconnect the device from the computer, open the e-book file with the appropriate program, and enjoy reading.
