Instruction manual
1
The guitar belongs to string musical instruments. The source of sound in it is a set of strings of different thicknesses. The same group includes violin, harp, cello, domra, balalaika and some other popular instruments. But the manner of performing melodies and the method of extracting sound when playing the guitar is unique.
2
Externally, the acoustic guitar is a hollow body inside, having smooth contours, and a long and narrow neck attached to it, which is called the guitar neck. On the working side, the neck of the guitar has a flat or slightly convex surface. This profile allows you to reliably press the strings to the surface of the neck with your fingers.
3
Strings are stretched along the neck. One end is attached to a stand mounted on the body, the other end, each string is held on a special peg mechanism. The string lies on two sills, the distance between which determines the length of the working part of the tool. String tension is regulated by a special mechanism. It allows you to tune each string individually.
4
The sound in the guitar occurs when the stretched strings oscillate. The height and timbre of the instrument depend on the thickness and strength of their tension. The shorter and finer the string, the stronger it is stretched, the higher the sound extracted from it will be. The guitarist can control the pitch by changing the length of the working part of the strings. To do this, press them with your fingers on a certain fret, that is, take chords.
5
A modern guitar is equipped with steel, carbon or nylon strings having different thicknesses. A set of strings is selected so that in the system they emit sounds of a strictly defined height. The purity of the sound of the guitar depends on the ability to properly tune it.
6
Traditionally, the sound when playing the guitar is extracted with your fingertips - soft pads or nails. But often for this purpose a special device is used - a mediator. It is a thin plate of triangular or elongated shape, which the artist holds with his fingers.
7
The voluminous body of an acoustic guitar is able to significantly amplify the vibrations of the strings that the guitarist touches. In this case, vibration is transmitted to the guitar body. The created resonance causes a change in the air masses surrounding the body, and the melodic sound from this magnificent string instrument spreads far around. If a true master holds the guitar in his hands, his playing evokes the listeners' constant admiration.
