Ivan Alexandrovsky was a talented engineer. He invented a submarine, a torpedo. But the scientist in tsarist Russia was practically not allocated funds, he was forced to do experiments with his own money and at the end of his life went bankrupt.

Ivan Alexandrovsky was not only a photographer, artist, but also an engineer-inventor. He is the creator of the first Russian submarine and torpedo.
Biography
Ivan Alexandrovsky was born in Courland province in 1817. He received a good education, graduating from a real school. That was in 1835. Then the future inventor moves to St. Petersburg.
Already at that time, Ivan Alexandrovsky painted beautifully. Then he begins to exhibit his work. His talent was noticed, the young man was given the title of non-class artist.
Career and creativity
The gifted young man began to realize his talents, to teach drawing and drawing. He taught the children privately, then he was invited to work in a St. Petersburg gymnasium. Then Ivan Fedorovich Alexandrovsky improves his yet another talent. He opens a photographic institution, which was very popular, such that he was invited to photograph the sovereign himself and persons close to the emperor.
In 1852, Ivan Fedorovich introduced the apparatus for obtaining three-dimensional images through stereo photography. A little later, he presented these photos at one of the exhibitions. Such images of the inventor were the first such works in Russia.
The famous talented scientist created a torpedo and a submarine. In 1866, this submarine was built at the Baltic Shipyard. Then the sovereign visited her, who was told about the device of this closed vessel.

After 11 years, Alexandrovsky I.F. invented diving equipment, which was autonomous and operated on compressed air. He wanted to introduce his invention as a universal military tool. So, a diver, carrying a cart loaded with balloons of air, could attach explosives to an enemy ship. Under water, people in special equipment could stay up to 3 hours. But only a prototype was created, this idea was not implemented in mass production.

Ivan Alexandrovsky was a dedicated inventor. He spent all his own money on research, so he went bankrupt by the end of his life. When he became seriously ill, this talented man was admitted to the hospital for the poor. The talented inventor died alone, abandoned and forgotten by everyone in 1894.
