Rostislav Valerievich Khait - Honored Artist of Russia, a brilliant actor and screenwriter, one of the creators and members of the comedy collective "Quartet I". He has long become a sex symbol and a favorite of millions of viewers.
Way to success
Rostislav Khait was born in 1971 in Odessa. No city has presented the world with so many comedians and satirists. Valery grew up in a family where creativity was in the first place. His father is the captain of the famous Odessa KVN team of the late 60s, his elder brother Eugene for several years led the program "Gentleman Show", which was incredibly popular on television. The first experience of the big stage for Rostislav was associated with this humorous project.
With incredible warmth, Glory recalls his childhood. In elementary school, the boy met with Leonid Baraz. The guys chased the ball together for one football team, and staged performances not on the stage of the school theater club. This friendship became decisive for all of Chait's future life and work. In the 3rd grade, he told his parents that he sees his future in the acting profession.
Quartet And
In GITIS, where he entered with Baraz, he met future colleagues Alexander Demidov and Kamil Larin. 1993 is considered the date of birth of the "Quartet I" comedy theater. Their first stage productions immediately aroused interest. The debut performance "This is all the cliches" was warmly received on the educational stage of the university. A few years later, the four talented artists already traveled with tours of the cities of Russia and the CIS. The real success for the team was brought by the productions: Radio Day, Election Day, and What Men Talk About. The performances are imbued with sparkling humor and subtle satire. Glory was one of the authors of the script for these works. In addition to theatrical activities, Hait is known as the host of many official and recreational events.
Movie work
For the first time on the screens, the actor appeared in 1990 in the episodic role of the criminal film by Vadim Derbenev, “Hunting for a Pimp”. The next film work in 12 years was the role in the comedy of Ivan Dykhovichny "Money". The next page of Hait’s cinematic biography began with the adaptation of his own Quartet I performances. Now they could get to know their work not only from the stage, but also on the screens of movie theaters. Millions of viewers watched comedies, box office was incredibly high - it was a real success. In these quartet projects, as before, Rostislav showed himself as a brilliant actor, as well as a screenwriter and producer. Of the recent works, I would like to especially note "Election Day 2", "What Men 3 Speak About" and "Wonderland". Often, the characters of Chait resemble him. This is a confident bachelor who reacts to all stressful situations with humor.
