How difficult, sometimes, to change the usual measured course of life, when you have achieved certain successes in your career, surrounded by loved ones who accept you for who you are. Yevgeny Rasskazov, who holds a high position in the international media company Thomson Reuters, faced a similar problem. At 35 years old, he suddenly realized that it was time to give the fight overweight, fatigue and health problems. And as quickly as possible, otherwise it will only get worse.

New life
Eugene’s lifestyle, like many office employees, did not contribute to well-being and physical fitness. Improper nutrition, overeating, bad habits, workload at work - all this accumulated over the years and at the age of 35 led to serious health problems. Most of all, Rasskazova was depressed overweight, which at that time exceeded 110 kilograms. Doctors confirmed his doubts. After a medical examination, he found out about numerous abnormalities that require immediate correction. Then Eugene firmly decided to start a new life.
He bought a subscription to a sports club, quit smoking, reviewed his food. On the last point of the Stories, he is of the opinion that it is not necessary to set strict restrictions - to starve or completely exclude any products. It is important to eat moderately and regularly. For example, for himself, he realized the importance of eating lunch, which helps to avoid evening overeating. This approach, combined with regular sports, helped Eugene lose weight by 10 kilograms. And then he had an unexpected incentive to move on.
In early 2014, from a former colleague, Rasskazov received a proposal to climb the famous Mount Kilimanjaro. It was a new, unusual experience, which he decided on for two months. In August, Eugene with a group of friends reached the top of Kilimanjaro. The greatest difficulty for them was overcoming the entire route in an extremely limited time. Since Russian tourists did not have the opportunity to spend 11-12 standard days climbing, they had to go twice as much every day as the route developers had planned. According to Rasskazov, in Africa he experienced an “interesting adventure” that pushed him to new experiments on the verge of extreme.
Extreme adventure
Eugene liked the mountain climbing experience so much that at the first opportunity he decided to repeat it. A year later, he went to storm the northern slope of Elbrus. Weather conditions in the Caucasus turned out to be much more severe than in Africa. Once extreme tourists had to climb to the accompaniment of snow mixed with thunderstorms, hail and gusts of wind. From strong electrification on people even garments rang. But in the end, the ascent ended safely and left the most pleasant experience.
In 2016, Stories challenged himself when he decided to cross the Bosphorus in Turkey. He had to overcome the distance of 6.5 kilometers. Started training in April, practiced five times a week. In the first classes, he could cross the pool without rest only once. In just three months, thanks to the perseverance and help of coach Maria Simashova, Eugene learned to swim without stopping more than 5 kilometers. In July 2016, he participated in the swim through the Bosphorus and finished with a result of 1 hour 25 minutes, which fit into the qualification time - 2 hours. This moment was his next significant victory.
In addition to the events mentioned, in the life of Eugene there were other interesting events at which he challenged his abilities and endurance:
- Sberbank marathon (4.4 km) across the territory of Moscow State University;
- Climbing Mount Kazbek;
- Oceanman swim in Spain.
