Road to recognition
Katya Medvedeva was born in 1937 in a peasant family on January 10 in the Kursk region, in the village of Golubino. She lived near Belgorod. After the change of residence, Katya and her sisters were transferred to the mine settlement, then in 1946 Azerbaijan. Father left the family and disappeared. Katya soon found herself in a shelter.
The artist painted a picture called by her "The suffering of my mother." It depicts a woman in a scarf turning into a halo. The figure is wrapped in multi-colored contours. Success
She began writing as an independent artist Medvedev in 1976. She made a business trip to her native village, visited her grandmother there and on September 8 held the first exhibition in her life in Golubin.
