Childhood star
Liam was born into a family with Irish roots in Moya and Bill Aiken, producer of MTV, at the very beginning of 1990, on the seventh of January. Father worked, mother worked on the house and the child, but it soon became clear that Bill was terminally ill with cancer. So the childhood of the future actor was overshadowed by tragedy - when he was two years old, his father passed away.
From his early years, everyone around him understood that Liam Aiken was a born actor. He easily transformed into various images, constantly amused friends and relatives with sketches, spoke at ease to an audience. Soon at the age of seven, he even got a small role on Broadway in the play "Doll House". This served as an impetus for his creative career.
A boy who knows how to stay in front of cameras is absolutely natural, they noticed on television. For the first time, Liam appeared on the screen as an actor for the Ford Motor Company advertising campaign, and immediately he was invited to the 1997 film “Henry Full” to play a small role.
Mother did her best to develop her son’s career, especially since she didn’t have to pay for his education, he talked with famous people and could see the world.
Actor's creativity
In 1998, the drama "The Stepmother" was released, in which Liam acted as the son of the protagonist. This painting became a high point for young Aiken Liam, and he even received a prestigious award for his work. After success, they began to invite him to various projects, but Moya, the mother of a young star, was cautious about the proposals, selecting only those that, in her opinion, could not harm the psyche and education of her son.
As a result, until 2000, the boy appeared only in the episode of the series Law & Order and in the short film. In 2000, producer David Hayman casted for the role of Harry Potter for his cult saga, and Liam became one of the main candidates. To fulfill this role, the very young actor was prevented by the fact that he was not of British origin - the writer Joan Rowling insisted on this condition for the performer of the role of Potter.
The next successful project in which Liam worked was the exquisite 2001 melodrama Sweet November. The cast abounded in stars: Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron, Jason Isaacs. Moreover, the picture itself failed and was nominated for Golden Raspberry (prize for the worst film), but Liam’s career, “the only one you can believe in this film, ” according to critics, went uphill. In 2008, Aiken applied to the University of New York to study television and film.
