John Alberto Leguizamo was born in the Colombian city of Bogotá in 1964. In his family tree there are Colombians, Italians, Lebanese and Puerto Ricans. The boy from the emigrant family first learned to fight, and then began to make people laugh in order to defuse the situation. He did it very well.
Despite poverty, parents managed to send their son to study at the Higher Business School. John studied well, but he constantly thought that he wanted to become an actor, not a businessman. Therefore, immediately after receiving a business education, he entered the theater courses.
And then his "comic everyday life" began: he performed in clubs as a pop artist - he made the audience laugh. In 1986, he managed to get on the series "Miami Police: Department of Morals", and this work he liked.
Movie career
Serious filming in the cinema began with him in the 90s, and the first success came after the filming of the drama "Hanging Out with His Own" (1991). Here, John had a major role, and she inspired her so much that he did his theater show "Mambo Mouth", where he himself created 7 characters. The comedian's talent helped this show become a hit of the show, receive positive reviews from critics. A little later this show was shot on television.
