The RSFSR lasted a little more than half a century. The legal successor of the republic is the Russian Federation, as indicated in the act of December 26, 1991. It was in this year that the first socialist state in the world ceased to exist.
The RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic, Soviet Russia) is the first socialist state in world history, the formation of which was proclaimed on November 7, 1917. Almost a year later, on July 19, 1918, the Constitution of the RSFSR was adopted and entered into force.
Since 1920, it is already one of the Union Republics of the USSR, which is the largest population area with a high level of industry and agriculture.
Soviet Union. Development and collapse
In the entire history of its existence, the republic was fundamental for the other 14 Soviet republics that were part of the USSR. For many residents of the Soviet era, there was no difference in which republic it was located, as the party's policy was aimed at uniting peoples with preservation of cultural heritage. There was an idea of economic and political unification to confront the West.
The long Cold War, which grew into political intrigues and espionage moves, led to instability in the USSR. The power of the party was discredited, and the ideology of democracy and publicity led to a new trend in politics. As a result, the Soviet Union collapsed, the economic and political power of the once superpower was minimized.
