On the road to fame
Daron (Taron) was born July 18, 1975 in Hollywood. His parents, Vartan and Zelur, traveled to the United States in search of a better life. Mom was a sculptor, father - a dancer, artist and choreographer.
The boy, under the influence of a second cousin, was fascinated by the heavy metal style from an early age. Growing up, he listened to Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen and collected music recordings.
Daron dreamed of a career drummer group. But parents for eleven years gave their son an electric guitar.
The child did not hide his disappointment. But the family did not need problems with neighbors. Namely, they would be the drums in a small apartment in the Glendail area.
The boy took the first instrument into his own hands. He was not sent to learn the game. Daron received his musical education on his own. He spent ten hours playing the game daily.
During the first year, the future musician trained in tuning and listening to the sound of the instrument. Then came the study of chords.
While studying in high school Glendale High School, he was already considered an intelligent, albeit very young, guitarist. Malakyan began to compose music at seventeen.
Among the favorite groups of the future celebrity is The Beatles. The creativity of the Liverpool four simply astounded Daron.
In Lennon's statements he saw the deepest meaning, marveled at their laconicism. The leader of the Beatles became a teacher for the young musician, albeit implicit.

Group creation
In the Armenian school, where Daron went, he met with Andy Khachaturian and Shavo Odadzhyan. They became fellow musician. Serge Taknya also studied there, becoming the leader of their future group.
Malakyan first appeared on stage at sixteen. He made his debut as a member of the Hard Rock Band. A significant meeting took place with Tankyan in the early nineties.
Both were members of rock bands. Serge played the keyboard, Daron played the guitar. On the day of the meeting, both teams rehearsed in the same studio.
Armenian musicians decided to unite in their own group with the name "Soyle". Domingo Lareño and Dave Hakobyan joined their colleagues.
Shavo Odadzhyan assumed the responsibilities of the manager of the new team. After the collapse of the Soyle, Malakyan, Odajyan and Tankyan formed the System of e Down.
Since Daron composed not only music, but also poetry, one of them became the name of the new collective. In Victims of a Down, the first word was replaced with System. So the world famous name was created.
A little time passed and the group replenished with Andy Khachaturian. Malakyan was engaged not only in vocals and guitar performance. He became the producer of the album albums.
Daron founded his own label, Eat Ur Music. His first product was Amen.
