Biography
Dmitry Ulyanov was born in 1972 in Moscow and raised in the family of an engineer and teacher. After some time, the Ulyanovs moved from the prosperous Moscow region to the Patriarch's Ponds on the outskirts of Orekhovo-Borisovo. The boy had to grow up among peers from disadvantaged families, which is why he began to fail at school. Dima had to seriously take up his mind and find hobbies. Judo classes became one of them, but due to an injury, I had to abandon training.
At school, Dmitry Ulyanov often played in stage productions. So he showed a desire to become an actor, although no one supported his dream: they expected a simple but stable working career from a young man. And yet he tried to enter the Shchukin Institute. The attempt turned out to be a failure: entrance exams were not passed. Dmitry was seriously engaged in self-training and attended private acting courses for a whole year. As a result, he successfully entered the desired specialty, although he now preferred the Moscow Art Theater School.
In the third year, the aspiring artist managed to transfer to "Pike" and graduated in 1998. After that, Dmitry Ulyanov worked at the Vakhtangov Theater. I liked the work, but the team for a long time turned out to accept yesterday’s student. Because of this, Ulyanov had to attend numerous film screenings in the hope of changing his place of work. Soon, luck smiled at him in the series “Rostov-papa” in the series of Cyril Serebrennikov.
For some time, Ulyanov starred in little-known series, until he received an invitation to the role of a submariner in the movie "72 Meters", released in 2004. The project collected positive reviews, but the actor himself remained little in demand. He played another prominent role only in 2012 in the series "Island of Unnecessary People". It was followed by the equally popular “Doom of the Empire”, “The Moscow Saga” and “St. John's Wort”.
