Entered Debbie Harry in a regular New York school. And it was during the secondary education that the girl first tried herself as a vocalist. When Deborah was in the sixth grade, she sang a song from the play Boy with a Finger.

In parallel, Deborah moonlights as a waitress in Max's restaurant, where at one moment she met Jefferson Aeroplan. In the same period of time, thanks to his work at the BBC, Deborah Harry makes other useful contacts and even establishes companionship with Andy Warhol himself. However, only by the end of the 1960s Debbie Harry began to confidently build his creative career.

Debbie’s first step on the road to popularity was backing vocals with Wind in the willow. This pop collective recorded only one album, in which Deborah took part, but this record was not successful. There was no interest either from music critics or producers, or from the general public. After such a failure, the group broke up, Deborah again was left with nothing.
After such an unsuccessful experience, Debbie became depressed, became addicted to the use of drugs. At this time, she was forced to work in nightclubs, and she also collaborated with the famous adult magazine Playboy. At some point, realizing that her life was going completely downhill, Deborah Harry tried to get rid of her addiction and decided to start expressing herself through the photo. She even entered a photo school, having studied there for some time. In the same period, she met a girl named Elda, who was part of the musical group Pure Garbage.
Friendly relations with Elda led to the fact that after a while the group Pure Garbage was renamed Stilettoes, and Debbie Harry became an official member of this team.
Later, the girl meets Chris Stein, with whom they create a separate team, called Blondie. The composition of this group was “floating”: the musicians either came or replaced with new ones. However, this allowed to diversify the style and music of the collective, to create your own unique personal image.
The young group made its first contact with the private stock recording studio. Thanks to this, in 1976, the first Blondie disc was released, which, however, did not produce stunning success. However, this did not upset the young musicians, Deborah and the team went on a tour of the states and Europe. The second studio album was a little more popular.
The third disc of the group was released in 1978. It was this record that brought fame and relevance to the Blondie group. They were even nominated for a Grammy. As a result, for vocal parts in the album 'Parallel Lines' Debbie Harry was awarded the statuette of this prestigious music award.
In the wake of the fallen popularity, the group signed a contract with a British music producer named Michael Champen. This allowed the team not only to change the style and sound, while not losing their fans, but also to gain a foothold in the European music market.

In total, Blondie and Debbie Harry released many successful albums (six pieces) and singles, but at one point Chris Stein was diagnosed with a serious autoimmune disease. A similar diagnosis caused a temporary dissolution of the team, a pause in Blondie's creative activity lasted more than 15 years.
The team gathered again only in 1997. Debbie Harry was in the lineup again. The band played several successful gigs in Europe using their old hits. Later, their seventh full-length album was released, after which the team went on a world tour.
