Yana Churikova is a popular Russian TV presenter. About such people usually say "self made woman". However, she did not immediately become so liberated and sociable. According to Churikova herself, when she was just starting to work in journalism, it was often very difficult for her to overcome a certain internal barrier and simply arrange an interview with someone.

Childhood and youth
Yana Alekseevna Churikova was born on November 6, 1978 in Moscow. The girl was the only child in the family. Her mother devoted her entire life to the profession of an economist, while her father was a soldier. It was the specifics of the work of the head of the family that prompted the whole family to move to Hungary for some time. In a country unfamiliar to herself, little Yana quickly got used to it and began to go to a local school. As soon as the Soviet Union collapsed, they had to return to their homeland in Moscow, where the girl was finishing her education in a simple comprehensive school.
Among other things, Yana mastered vocal art and playing the piano in a music school, which she graduated with honors. The motivation for this was given to her by her dream of becoming such a famous opera singer as Montserrat Caballe. It is worth noting that the girl was interested in everything. For a while, she even wanted to learn to be a paleontologist. She was also attracted to geography. But at one point she realized that there was something in the world that could unite all her dreams. This was journalism. Thus, the girl began to learn the basics of the profession at the School of the Young Journalist. And from the age of 14 she practiced in the newspaper "Verb". For 4 years, she learned to write various notes and articles on her own.
In 1994, she became the silver medalist at the City Literature Olympiad. All this gave Yana more confidence that she was on the right track. In 1995, she became a student of one of the most prestigious universities in the country - Moscow State University. Enrolled in the course of the department of television and radio broadcasting, the novice journalist continued to trample her own path to success.
TV career
In 1996, Churikova was hired by the private television company ATV, where the girl begins to release her first stories. A year later, she switched to the Biz TV channel. I must say that Yana did not get there in a completely honest way. At an interview with her boss, she said that she was 22 years old, not 19, as it actually was, and that she had extensive experience in the profession of a journalist. Soon the secret became apparent, but they did not begin to dismiss her, because they saw how much love and diligence she put into her work.
In 1998, Biz TV underwent rebranding, as a result of which it became known as MTV. Young Churikova retained her workplace. Moreover, her career went uphill. She was not only an ordinary correspondent, but also an editor and producer of a number of television programs on the newly made channel. Due to the large amount of work, the first time she had to, in the literal sense of the word, spend the night at work.
She became really popular with the broadcast of the program "12 evil spectators", where the girl was in the lead. After that, Yana Alekseevna was noticed by the country's main television channel.
In 2002, she became the permanent host of the musical project "Star Factory", and also annually comments on the international song contest "Eurovision".
Currently, Yana Alekseevna is the host of the renewed project "12 Evil Spectators" and, in parallel, is producing a series of shows on Channel One.
