Biography
Chingiz Abdullaev was born on April 7, 1959 in Baku. Chingiz's father was a member of World War II, served in counterintelligence, and later worked as a prosecutor and chairman of the Bar Association. Mother worked as a rector of the university. Parents had a great influence on his fate, from childhood instilling in him the concept of honor, heroism and love for the motherland. Therefore, after graduating from school, Genghis decided to take a crucial step in his life - to continue his father’s business. So in 1976 he entered the Azerbaijan State University at the Faculty of Law.
At university, he immersed himself in legal science, studied in depth foreign languages (Italian, English, Turkish and Farsi). But this was not enough for him. Then he took up boxing and the development of various types of shooting. All this together helped him become the editor of the newspaper and the president of the sports club of the faculty. In addition, he won prizes at lawyers competitions of the USSR. In 1981, Genghis graduated with honors.
An active life position and ability to control the situation did not go unnoticed. Chingiz was offered to study at the KGB courses. And in 1983 he was included in a special group to release Angolan commanders from captivity. After the successful completion of the first task, he was also involved in other special-purpose missions. For courage and excellent work, Chingiz Abdullaev resigned with awards. In civilian life, he received a second degree in psychology. He defended his doctoral and then doctoral dissertation in legal sciences.
Career as a writer
Chingiz Abdullaev wrote his first book, entitled “Blue Angels, ” when he was a member of special groups. For the veracity of the events and the disclosure of classified information, she lay on the committee under a ban until 1988. But after its publication they started talking about him as a talented writer. He became a member of the Writers Union. After a while, he was secretary of the writers' board, later an honorary doctor of the Azerbaijan Academy and vice president of the International Writers Association (PEN Club).
