A native of the capital of our Motherland and a native of the family of a career soldier - Alexander Nikolaevich Baluev - made his conscious choice in favor of a creative career, solely thanks to his sophisticated and intelligent mother. It was she who was able to instill in her son a love for acting, which he subsequently very successfully put into practice.

Alexander Baluev, a popular theater and film actor, is now well known throughout the post-Soviet space, thanks to his rich track record, which includes about forty theater projects and more than one hundred film works.
Biography and career of Alexander Nikolaevich Baluev
On December 6, 1958, the future idol of millions of domestic fans was born in the capital of our country. In school, Alexander was actively involved in sports. However, the love of theater life, which his mother stubbornly cultivated, despite his father's desire to see the son of the successor of the family military tradition, prevailed over all other arguments.
Therefore, after receiving a certificate of secondary education, Baluev submitted documents to the Shchukin school, where he unexpectedly failed exams. And then, during the year, he worked as an assistant to the illuminator at Mosfilm and received a student’s ticket from the Moscow Art Theater, where he received a basic acting education in a course with P. V. Massalsky and I. M. Tarkhanov.
Because of the upcoming military service, Baluyev was forced to get into the troupe of the Theater of the Soviet Army after graduation. Here for six years he went on the stage as a participant in the performances: "Lady with Camellias", "Robin Hood's Arrow" and "Clock without Hands". And in 1986 he moved to the Yermolova Theater, where he served until the end of the “eighties, ” after which he left the theater altogether, focusing specifically on cinema.
Brief episodes in the paintings of 1981-1983, though not brought fame to Alexander Baluev, but he formed a love for the set. And already in 1984 the film "Egorka", where the actor played the role of the commander of the boat, became for him essentially a film debut. The real fame came to the actor after the release of the film by Stanislav Govorukhin "Bless the Woman" (2003), where his character - the brutal captain Larevich - was appreciated by the cinematic community.
The current filmography of Alexander Nikolaevich already has one hundred and ten film works, among which I would like to highlight the following: “The Wife of a Kerosene Engineer” (1988), “Muslim” (1995), “Peacemaker” (1997), “Antikiller” (2002), “Evening Ringing” (2003), The Death of an Empire (2005), 1612: Chronicles of the Time of Troubles (2007), Kandahar (2010), Zhukov (2012), Two Winter and Three Summer (2014), Hero (2016), Sofia (2016), Ark (2017), Three Sisters (2017), Demon of Revolution (2017).
