Biography
Alexander Igorevich Rybak is from Belarus. Born in 1986 on May 13 in the city of Minsk. Alexander's parents are also Belarusians by nationality, and Alexander is Norwegian only at the place of residence.
It is not surprising that Alexander graduated with honors from a music school, because his parents are musicians. The singer’s mother, Natalya, is a pianist, father Igor is a violinist, and even his paternal grandmother is a teacher at a music school.
It was the grandmother from early childhood who instilled in the future famous singer a love of music and learned melodies with him. Alexander’s father also contributed to the development of his son and became his first mentor in the wonderful world of sounds. The violin is not the only musical instrument played by Rybak Jr., the second instrument of the musician is the piano.
In 1990, Aleksand's father was invited to work in Norway, and the whole family left his native Belarus. Fisherman and his family settled in Nesodden. Alexander studied there.
Alexander received his first award for achievements in music when he was 17 years old, in the form of a scholarship at the legendary Meadowmount educational institution, which only three students all over the world deserved. In 2012, the musician received a diploma.
Career
The artist’s musical career began long before Eurovision 2009. Alexander worked in a musical, toured Europe a lot, and had connections with many celebrities in Norway.
In 2006, Rybak won another victory at a music competition in Norway, where he performed his own song. Then Alexander Igorevich for a long time was the accompanist of the symphony orchestra.
According to the results of the qualifying round, Alexander Rybak was chosen as the representative of Norway at Eurovision 2009, and the Norwegians did not lose. The fisherman not only brought victory to his country, but also became the new champion in the number of votes received, as many as 387 points. After the most ambitious music competition, the artist became very popular not only in his homeland, but also in Russia and Belarus.
Then Alexander took part in Russian programs, and at one of the concerts in Russia he sang the song "Fairytale" in Russian. After that, the already famous musician has repeatedly participated in various music and song festivals. He starred in videos and released albums, even voiced cartoons.
In 2018, at the next Eurovision Song Contest, Rybak was again a candidate from Norway. Despite the many special effects used and the virtuoso game, Alexander did not bring victory and did not even become a finalist. In 2018, the Norwegian took only 15th place.
