Alexander Elizarov: biography
Alexander Elizarov was born on March 7, 1952 in the village of Vyazovka, Sosnovoborsky district, Penza region.
He became interested in skiing at the age of 15 while studying at a vocational school-10 in the city of Kuznetsk. He was a repeated champion of Kuznetsk, and as the strongest skier, he was invited to study at the Penza Engineering College. In Penza for the first time I tried myself in biathlon, I began to study under the leadership of Nikolai Elakhov.

In 1971 he graduated with honors from GPTU-10 in the city of Kuznetsk. He was a repeated champion of Kuznetsk, and as the strongest skier, he was invited to study at the Penza Engineering College. Pupils of Nikolai Elakhov, Alexander Elizarov and Ivan Tyulyukin, were part of the USSR national biathlon team from 1973 to 1980. He was awarded the badge of honor "For Merits in the Development of the Olympic Movement in Russia".
Career
Since 1973, Alexander Elizarov has been a member of the country's junior national team, is trying his hand at international competitions, and already in the main team - in the USSR Cup, where he “outplayed” Alexander Tikhonov himself.
In 1976 he moved to Mytishchi near Moscow, where he was actively preparing for the future Olympics. He played for Trud (Moscow Region).
At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, he became the Olympic relay champion and a bronze medalist in the individual 20 km race. He played in the relay at the 1st stage.
In 1978, he graduated from the State Central Order of Lenin Institute of Physical Culture (GTsOLIFK). He worked as a coach with the youth team of the USSR.
In 1982, in the Pushkin district of the Moscow region he founded a biathlon sports school (now the Pushkin Integrated Children and Youth Sports School in Biathlon and Other Sports named after A. M. Elizarov), was its first director. Honored Coach of Russia.
Career
From 1980 to 1985, he worked as a coach of the USSR youth team.
In 1985, he created on the basis of secondary school No. 4 of Mytishchi and was the first director of the Children's and Youth Sports School in biathlon of the MOS OBL DSO "Trud". In 1987, the school was named after A. Elizarov.
In 1986, he initiated the creation of the Biathlon Federation of the Moscow Region, becoming its first president.
In 1995, he created ZAO Armory House CPC Mytishchi and led it in 2015. He sponsored leading athletes and coaches living in the Mytishchi municipal district and the Moscow region.
In 1999, he was the organizer and leader of an expedition to the North Pole. Held the first biathlon competition at the North Pole.
Since 2002, according to a letter from the governor of the Moscow region. and the decree of the Moscow regional association of the organization of trade unions of the Youth Sports School for Biathlon of the MOS OBL DSO "Trud" was transferred free of charge to the Municipal property of the Pushkin district.
In 2002 he was awarded the honorary Badge "For Merits in the Development of Physical Culture and Sports", "For Merits of the Olympic Movement in Russia".

From 2005 to the present, he has been Vice President of the Biathlon Federation of the Moscow Region.
In 2009, he was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the Pushkin Municipal District.
In March 2012, in Penza, on the building of the College of Engineering, in which in 1971-1975. studied A. M. Elizarov, in the presence of the governor of the Penza region V. K. Bochkarev a memorial plaque was opened in honor of the eminent graduate.
In December 2017, at the Conference of the Russian Union of Athletes (RCC), he was elected by general vote as Vice President of the Russian Union of Athletes.
In May 2018, at the Conference of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU), he was elected a member of the Council of the Russian Biathlon Union.
In July 2018, Elizarov A.M. awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Moscow Region".
In January 2019, at the reporting and election conference of the Regional Public Organization Biathlon Federation of the Moscow Region (ROO FBMO) A. Elizarov He was unanimously elected Honorary President of the Moscow Region Biathlon Federation.
