Yuri Kolokolnikov is the embodiment of determination and talent. He achieved success not only in domestic cinema. A popular man can also be seen in foreign film projects. Yuri is the only Russian actor who starred in the landmark multi-part film "Game of Thrones."
Yuri Kolokolnikov was born on December 15, 1980. It happened in the capital of Russia. Almost immediately after the birth of the child, the parents divorced. The upbringing of Yuri and his older brother began to engage in mother.
Yuri lived in Orekhovo-Zuevo for 5 years. As a translator, the actor’s mother decided to leave Russia. She considered that knowledge of English would help to settle down well in another country. As a result, the family moved to Canada in 1985.
Life in Canada negatively affected Yuri. Having a difficult character, he often ran away from home, spoke rudely with his mother, studied poorly and was rude to almost everyone. There is a moment in his biography when he almost bit his ear off to the teacher. It was after this incident that the mother decided to send her son back to Russia, where his father took up his upbringing.
Moving to Moscow was not what Yuri Kolokolnikov expected. He hoped that Russia was in no way inferior to Canada. However, in the country in those days ruin and lawlessness reigned. In addition, I had to buy food on coupons. But thanks to this reality, the guy began to change for the better.
Gradually, he got used to coupons and long lines. I started to earn money, because his father immediately warned that he would not give him money for personal expenses, unlike his mother. Yuri Kolokolnikov earned his first money by stealing apples in the Mosfilm garden and reselling them at the station.
First creative steps
Yuri began to dream about the career of a film actor in Canada. He loved to be the center of attention. Perhaps that is why he made stupid antics. He made his first steps in his career when he arrived in Russia. He entered the "Pike." This happened when the guy turned 15 years old. For the sake of entering the theater school, Yuri externally graduated from school.
Once the father recommended his son to go to the casting. Yuri listened to his advice, prepared and went to auditions. He received his first role in the movie "Iron Curtain". Appeared to the audience in the image of a street child. Then there was a minor role in the project "Envy of the Gods." His next shootings took place in the movie "Retro Threesome".
After graduating from a theater institute, Yuri Kolokolnikov decided to move to America. For the first few months he lived with a friend. However, then came hard times. I had to move out of the apartment. Yuri was sleeping in a car on the beaches. He moonlighted as a loader, courier.
To get the role, Yuri took his photos to several agencies at once. He even took a pseudonym, considering that no one could pronounce his real name. He was known at the agency as Sebastian Winters. But it did not help. He did not receive significant roles, he starred exclusively in the crowd.
Then the money ran out. It is not known how the biography of a talented guy would have developed if he had not been called back to Russia, where he was offered a role in the famous military drama "In August 44th." Thanks to this project, a breakthrough was outlined in the career of Yuri Kolokolnikov.
Having played the role of a scout, he managed to interest the directors, began to frequent acting parties, where he met the right people. Do not forget to attend castings. Yuri starred in several more projects - "Pechorin. Hero of our time", "State Councilor" and "Demons". Then there were shootings in the film project Doomed to War, in which Yuri appeared before the audience with such actors as Andrei Panin and Fedor Dobronravov.
Yuri also has a positive attitude towards experiments. Without hesitation, he agreed to a role in the movie "Happy Ending". Appeared in front of the audience as a Member. Pavel Derevyanko and Anna Taratorkina starred in the project with him. The motion picture was met controversially. However, Yuri himself considers his role an interesting experience. The head of the physical theater Gennady Albert helped to get used to the image of Yuri.
Then there was the role of police in the film project "Female". After some time, in the image of a leading character appeared in the movie "Intimate Places". The most popular projects include such paintings as “Daragaya's Mom!”, “Breakfast with Dad”, “Concerned, or Love of Evil”, “Drunk Firm”, “Duelist”
Tenn leader
Another qualitative breakthrough in the creative career of Yuri Kolokolnikov occurred in 2014. He starred in the landmark film Game of Thrones. I got into the film project largely due to my acquaintance with the casting director Nina Gold. She told Yuri that an actor was required for the series, and he came to auditions. As a result, he was approved for the role of Stear, the leader of the tenes.
It was hard to work on the set. Yuri Kolokolnikov learned to handle weapons every day for several hours, without taking off his heavy suit, which weighed about 10 kilograms. In addition, he had to learn to speak with a British accent. However, the most difficult were the flights. Yuri starred in several projects at once. Therefore, he regularly flew from Iceland to Petersburg and back.
But Yuri does not regret or complain about anything. Indeed, thanks to this role, he not only starred in a large-scale project, but also met such stars as Keith Harington, Rose Leslie and Emilia Clark. About the project, Yuri responds only positively. He considers it a genius, calling each individual series a masterpiece.
The conquest of Hollywood
The actor does not stop there. He has already starred in several Hollywood projects. True, I have not yet received the main roles. But everything is ahead.
You can see the acting game of Yuri Kolokolnikov in such films as "Carrier. Heritage", "Bodyguard of a killer", "Hunter Killer", "Stratton. First mission." In all these projects, his partners on the set were exclusively stars - Ryan Reynolds, Gerard Butler, Dominic Cooper, Ed Skrein.
At the present stage, Yuri Kolokolnikov is shooting in several more foreign projects. In the near future, he should appear in films such as "The Claim" and "Six Outlaws."
