Biography
Chicherina Julia was born on August 7, 1978 in the city of Sverdlovsk (USSR). She became the second child in the family. The singer has an older sister Dean. It was Sverdlovsk that the girl learned to draw well and learned the basics of music. From childhood, Julia loved to sing, even tried to enter the children's choir "Goroshenki".
Julia became interested in music in her school years. She quickly mastered playing the drum and guitar. She also participated in several school groups.
After school, Julia tried to enter the faculty of art history at Ural University, but did not pass one of the exams.
After she went to study at the school of culture, at the library department, but soon the future singer changed her mind and left the school. Julia went to get an education at a music school in the class of pop vocal.
Career and creativity
In 1997, in Yekaterinburg, the singer founded her own musical group with the name "Chicherina", which in addition to her included musicians: Azat Mukhametov, Alexander Bury and Alexander Alexandrov. The band’s birthday is considered to be the first club concert - June 1, 1997, when the Chicherina band performed at the cult Yekaterinburg club J-22.
Further, the group participated in several music festivals in Western Siberia.
In 1999, the singer signed a contract with the Russian record company Real Records and moved to Moscow. The group’s producer was Vadim Samoilov (leader of the Agatha Christie group).
In 2000, Chicherina provided the public with her debut album, Dreams. Tracks and videos of the singer began to appear on television. The artist’s songs became popular, and she herself was invited to music festivals and competitions in Moscow. The most famous of the compositions written by Julia Chicherina were Tu-Lu-La and Heat. Video clips were specially filmed for these works.
In 2000, the singer took part in the Russian television game "One Hundred to One."
In 2001, the band released their second album, entitled "The Flow." And in the same year, Julia Chicherina participated in the creation of one of the compositions of the album of the group "Bi-2" "Meow Kiss mi", recording together with the group the song "My rock and roll". According to Muz-TV, this song has become as popular as possible.
On November 15, 2002, the song became the winner of the Golden Gramophone Award, and on June 5, 2003 - the winner of the annual national television award in the field of popular music, Muz-TV, in the nomination "Best Song".

Also in 2015, the singer, together with the group, created the conceptual video-musical work "The Tale of Wandering and the Search for Happiness."
On January 2, 2016, the singer gave a festive New Year’s concert for Russian troops at the Khmeimim military base in Syria.
In September 2016, a new single and the clip "On the Front Line" were released.
In 2017, the new single "My Sparta" was released.
On June 1, 2017 the Chicherina group celebrated its 20th anniversary. The musicians spent the entire anniversary year on tour with the program "20 years on the road."
