The beginning of the creative path
The future musician was born in 1969 in the city of Krasnodar. The surname Yatsyna is of Serbian origin and stands for “fortress” degrees in alcohol. When the boy was seven years old, the family settled in Yalta. His parents were engaged in scientific activities at the Institute of winemaking. After school, Paul left on appeal to serve as a signalman in distant Siberia. The next stage of his biography was the search for his place in life. Who just did not work Pasha: from the watchman of the dance floor to the employee of the excursion Bureau.
The future celebrity tried to get an education at the physics department of the university, but it never came to a diploma. The only thing that always interested him was music. Pavel mastered playing the guitar in the 7th grade, then he created his first group, which played music in the style of heavy metal. The singer and guitarist began his career with the performance of popular songs of those years in sanatoriums and rest homes. In 1989, under his leadership, a musical group appeared with the unusual name "Red Mold".
"Red mold"
To record songs at home, Yatsyna used a minimal set of instruments. There was enough synthesizer, electric guitar, microphone and Oreanda cassette recorder. The very first work never saw the light of day. The album was recorded and destroyed - its quality turned out to be too low. And in the first five collections altogether featured fictional participants appeared - a drummer and a guitarist. Only four years later, the twelfth album was created professionally, in the collective received by the West-Master studio.
The year 1995 is considered the beginning of the concert activity of the famous collective. The first performance was held in the Mir cinema of the Crimean capital. The idols of the budding musicians were: Vladimir Vysotsky, the Kino, Leningrad and Gas Sector groups. In their work, Yatsyna and his colleagues focused on the theme of protest, the songs sounded a lot of profanity, sex, drugs, crime were mentioned. The musicians themselves did not give the lyrics any political orientation and ideology, they considered them exclusively humorous. But it was the patriotic songs about Russia and the Soviet Union that made them popular among the people ("Cossacks", "Patriotic", "Red Army", "Since February 23").
In addition to song albums, the guys became famous for banter and parody. They devoted these genres to their first collections and several recent ones. The artists originally sang in voices of different sexes, ages and nationalities, parodying famous politicians and actors: Leonid Brezhnev, Mikhail Gorbachev, Anatoly Papanov, Evgeny Leonov, Verka Serdyuchka, Boris Moiseev. A total of 15 collections of the most successful skits were released. In addition, ditties, couplets, jokes and poems sounded at concerts. But there were few performances, the team did not often appear in public, spending most of the time in the studio. The scandalous group was not invited to television. The first television recording and showing of the clip took place in 1996. "Red Mold" is one of the rare groups that gained popularity not because of large financial investments, but thanks to the recognition of the people. Cassettes and discs with their songs passed from hand to hand, many learned the legendary hits by heart.
The team chose a style that neglected all existing norms of morality and ethics ("Necrophil", "Lesbian Girls"). They joked about drug addicts (Galyuny, Anasha) and the Third Reich (Morning at the Gestapo, Rusish Partisanen). In their songs, they were not afraid to raise many topics that were publicly taboo. The lyrical direction was not spared (the album "Ballads and Lyrics", "Last Love", "Afghanistan"). But the main topic, perhaps, should be called the anthem of anarchy ("New Year", "Pistol") and the challenge of the existing pop culture ("Pops", "Punk Anthem").
The composition of the participants changed all the time, at different times about 60 people were involved. Many session musicians, singers and singers were involved in the work. The clips produced for the songs were mostly animated, a significant staff of artists worked to create them, as well as to design albums.
Personal life
Pavel Yatsyna has been married for over 20 years. His wife is named Lyudmila, the couple has two children: daughter Maria and son Vadim.
