From the biography of Vladimir Ilyich Semashko
The future statesman of the Republic of Belarus was born on November 20, 1949 in the city of Kalinkovichi in the Gomel region.
In 1972, Semashko graduated with honors from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute. By profession, he is a mechanical engineer. Immediately after graduation, Vladimir went to serve in the army. He retired to the reserve in 1974. And immediately plunged into production activities, accumulating experience and honing the knowledge and skills acquired at the university.
Career of Vladimir Semashko
Technical education was the key to career achievements of Vladimir Ilyich. Semashko began his career as a design engineer at the Design Bureau of the Integral Engineering Plant. Doros until the head of the design bureau, after which he worked as the chief engineer of the enterprise.
In 1996, Semashko was appointed head of the Horizont plant (Minsk). Since 2001, Vladimir Ilyich - Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus. In July 2003, he became the deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the country, and six months later he was approved in this high position.
