Childhood and youth
According to the traditions that have developed over many years, many people begin to engage in literary creativity in the second half of their conscious life. By this time, they have a desire to fix on paper their impressions of experiences in childhood and adolescence. Such works are called memoirs. Vladimir Grigoryevich Kolychev "took a pen in his hands" as an undeveloped person. The successful experience of colleagues who successfully published their books pushed him to this action. Their works did not stagnate in the windows of bookstores.
The future creator of crime novels was born on January 1, 1968 in the family of a career officer in the Soviet Army. The family at that time lived in the famous city of Tiraspol. Father served in the local garrison. Mother worked there in the library. Vladimir grew up a sociable and smart child. He learned to read early. In preschool age, he liked to come to mom's work and choose books suitable for himself. Most of all he liked the novels about world travel and the adventures of the American Indians.
Professional activity
When the time came to choose a profession, then Kolychev had no doubts. From a young age, he was determined to follow in his father's footsteps. Vladimir entered the Leningrad Higher Military Technical School, which he graduated with honors. The young lieutenant was assigned for further service in the strategic anti-aircraft missile forces. Kolychev had to serve in different regions of the Soviet Union. An officer career was developing successfully. But in the early 90s, the situation has noticeably changed for the worse.
Monetary allowance was not paid regularly. Then Major Kolychev decided to resign as a citizen. By that time, he already had the manuscripts of several novels in his desk. Vladimir was embarrassed to show them to a professional editor, because he did not have a literary education. However, after some hesitation, the budding author paid a visit to one of the Moscow publishing houses. A thorough discussion took place here, after which Kolychev already clearly knew how the publishing business was living and what he needed to do.
