Vitaly Ivanov is a Russian journalist, photographer, radio and television presenter, documentary filmmaker, traveler. He was in charge of the educational section of the Media Workshop, was the editor-in-chief of the Krasnoyarsk news agency "1-line", an employee of the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory

The beginning of creativity
Vitaly’s childhood time passed in the working area of the city near the engineering plant, where most of the family worked. The grandfather was an honorary “Krasnomashevtsy”. At the time of the parents' long departure, the upbringing of the grandson was entrusted to grandma. After returning, my father became the chief editor of socio-political programs on Krasnoyarsk television.
Since 1974, Vitali's hobby for photography began. The experienced master Alexander Vasilievich Mishchenko was his teacher. A picture taken by a novice photographer at his native school in early September 1976 appeared in the newspaper Krasnoyarsk Komsomolets. From that moment on, Ivanov’s works were constantly published in various publications in the country and abroad.
In 1974, Vitaliy became interested in swimming in flippers. Having started classes at the Dianema sports technical club at the local institute, the guy became a master of sports of the USSR. After completing his studies at the school in 1977, Vitaly decided to continue his education at the Law Faculty of the State University, but the attempt to enter was unsuccessful.
At the local television factory, he began working as a photo lab assistant. In 1978, Ivanov became a student at the State University in Irkutsk at the journalism department. Then work began in the editorial office of the Krasnoyarsk Komsomolets. Then the young man was sent to work in the newspaper Krasnoyarsk Railway Worker.
Formation time
In April-May 1978, as a freelance correspondent, Ivanov was seconded to the country's northernmost port, the village of Dikson. From it, it was transported by helicopter to the Captain Sorokin icebreaker, which performed a test flight to conduct a diesel-electric ship along the Murmansk-Dudinka route.
In February 1982, Vitaly's personal life was arranged. His wife was his classmate Elena Chernykh. The first child appeared in the family in 1983, Alexey. In 1992, he had a younger brother, Alexander. Successfully developed a creative biography of Ivanov. Three times he became a laureate of the regional photo contest "Horizons of Krasnoyarsk".
During his studies, the photographer worked at the Department of Journalism, visited television as a sports observer. A graduate was invited to work by several newspapers, including the capital. In 1984, the family moved to Taimyr.
On the northernmost mainland of the land, the head of the family began working in the local editorial office. As a photojournalist, he traveled the entire peninsula, visited polar stations, reindeer herders, and fishermen. The journalist wrote about hydrographs, sailors.
Achievements
Most of Ivanov’s life is inextricably linked with Dixon and the Arctic. He traveled the entire route of the Northern Sea Route repeatedly on icebreaking and transport vessels. In 1987, the journalist was for the first time at the North Pole. Arctic and northern themes became central in his work. The journalist collaborated with TASS newsreel, his publications in the press constantly appeared.
In 1993, Ivanov became the organizer of the historical and journalistic expedition Yenisei. The group went several times along the river from Tuva to Dikson, from source to mouth, in just one navigation. Valery Borisovich twice became the laureate of Sibir Press-Photo, and in 2001 he was a diploma-winner at the international photo contest "InterPress-Photo".
In Paris in 2002, Ivanov's photo exhibition "Unknown Siberia" was held. The journalist, along with Vladimir Skovorodnikov, showed the Siberian life to the French. Later, the exhibition became personal, was shown in many countries.
In 2003, the journalist received the title of best photojournalist of the Krasnoyarsk Territory according to the results of the creative regional competition of the Union of Journalists. Since 2005, training began for amateur beginners. Own photo school was opened in Krasnoyarsk in 2009.
