Biography
Victor Sidorov was born in the Primorsky Territory, in the city of Ussuriysk in June 1927. His father Stepan Sidorov was a working railway worker. Victor himself, after graduation, went to work at the Barnaul melange plant as a locksmith.
But the literary giftedness of the future writer prevailed. And he began working in the large-circulation newspapers "Builder" and "Altai Textile Worker" as executive secretary, literary officer, and editor.
Viktor Stepanovich also worked on radio and television. At the beginning of his career, he wrote short stories, feuilletons, essays, poems. His creations were published in local newspapers and collections.
Creation
In 1959, Sidorov wrote and published his first story, entitled "The Secret of the White Stone." This book tells about three teenagers who went to look for a cache. The treasure was hidden during the Civil War. These were important documents from the distant past. Fascinating adventures of children liked the contemporaries of the writer. Nowadays, this story will be interesting to read for both adolescents and adults.
Then came the other literary creations of the prose writer, among them works: "Treasures of the Ancient Barrow", "Hand of the Devil".
Particularly popular was his book, telling about the red eagle. She came out in 1964. The work was so in demand that it was published several times to satisfy the needs of all readers. It tells about the times of the guerrilla war in Altai. The story teaches love for the native land, honesty, courage, the ability to make friends.

After the publication of this book, the writer received many responses from readers who certainly wanted to continue. For example, the teenager Sasha Blinov in his letter to the writer suggested that he write a continuation of the story and send Victor Sidorov one chapter each so that he would check whether the boy was doing everything correctly.
