Victor Korolev is a Russian composer and performer of songs in the genre of pop chanson, many of which became hits. Repeatedly became the winner of various music awards. In the early nineties he tried himself as an actor, starring in four films.
Biography: early years
Victor Ivanovich Korolev was born on July 26, 1961 in Tayshet, near Irkutsk. Mother was the principal of the school, and father worked as a railroad worker on the Abakan-Tayshet section. In childhood, Viktor was sick a lot, and to improve his health, his parents identified him in the athletics section. In his free time he was fond of music. At school, Victor was an excellent student, the four received him greatly upset.
Soon the Korolev family moved from the Irkutsk region to Kaluga. By that time, Victor had completed nine classes. After school, he continued his education at the Kaluga School of Music. Korolev chose the piano class. He graduated from college with honors. Immediately after this, Victor decided to enter the theater institute, but the entrance tests did not pass.
The queen had no choice but to join the army. He served in the missile forces. The leadership of the military unit, learning about his musical education, sent the recruit to the headquarters orchestra.
After the army, Korolev decided to try again to enter the theater institute. The second attempt was successful, and Victor became a student of the famous "Sliver".
Career
In 1988, becoming a certified artist, Victor got a job in the musical theater of Yuri Sherling. Korolev played in musicals for seven months. In parallel, he also starred in the movie "Remembering the Summer." He liked working in the theater, but even then Korolev got the idea to try himself on the stage.
At the same time, Viktor received an offer from the famous director from Morocco, Suheil bin Barca, who was planning to shoot a large-scale historical film. Victor passed the test and played the role of Monello in it. The filming process lasted a year. Victor worked on the same site with Claudia Cardinale herself. The film was called "The Battle of the Three Kings" and was shown on the big screen in 1990.
In 1992, Victor starred in two films by Estonian director Rein Liblib: "We Play Zombies, or Life After Battles" and "Silhouette in the Window opposite." On this, he decided to end his career as an actor and focus on pop.
In the same year, Korolev released his debut album "Broadway on Tverskaya". Soon, Victor took part in the international festival of pop songs "Golden Deer", which conducted television in Romania. He became his graduate student. After that, Korolev began to actively record new songs and release records.
He searched for his authors for a long time. The first years of his journey on the stage can be safely called the time of trial and error. The largest recording studios refused to work with him, because they did not consider him a promising performer.
In 1997, Victor recorded another album, which he called "Bazar Station". It consisted mainly of fervent songs. The most popular and influential recording studio at that time, Soyuz, offered the Queen a contract. The record was released in a huge edition. In parallel, the studio shot a video for the main song from this album. Its director was Maxim Sviridov. The clip was shot in the so-called "plasticine" genre. He received an active rotation on television. Thanks to this, Korolev became truly popular.
In 2010, Victor received the Order "For Contribution to Culture" of the II degree, and two years later - "For Contribution to the Development of Russian Culture." Since 2011, the work of the Queen has been repeatedly awarded the Chanson of the Year Award.
Between 1992 and 2019, he released 23 albums. Among the famous songs of Victor:

In one of the interviews, Korolev noted that he was trying not to touch on social topics in his songs, as they plunged listeners into depression.
