Belov Victor Ivanovich, first Voronezh, then Belgorod, changed several professions. Having received a lifelong injury, he did not succumb to difficulties, did not become hardened for life, and, working with people, retained the simplicity, kindness, and cheerfulness of his character. His memory as a person and as a writer is preserved.

From biography
Belov Viktor Ivanovich was born in 1938 in the city of Voronezh in a family of young agronomists. In 1942, his father died. Every summer, a teenager worked on a collective farm. Secondary education Victor received in Borisoglebsk. Some time later, after a life search, he entered the aviation school. During one of the flights, an accident occurred, and Victor became disabled. After graduating from the historical and philological faculty of the Borisoglebsk Pedagogical Institute, he worked as a teacher, and in 1965 he became a correspondent. In 1977 he arrived in Belgorod region. At first he lived in Gubkin, then in Belgorod.
First creative steps
In 1956, his first poem, Goodbye, was published in Borisoglebskaya Pravda. He did not suspect that his opuses were known to the writer G.N. Troepolsky, whom Victor’s mother showed them in secret from her son.
Poetic word about Russia
Whatever Victor Belov writes about: whether about nature, country, people, war and peace - these are all poems about Russia, in which there are many alarming, sad lines. However, there is no despondency and despair in them.
His poems sound warmth, respectful tone, skill and desire to admire people, including fellow villagers. The poetry of V. Belov carries a moral and emotional charge. And so it is relevant.
In the first lines, the poet draws the reader's attention to the culinary abilities of women. The following is a touching story about her four sons who died in the war, and there was no one to treat pancakes in the family. With this pain she lived and spared no refreshments for anyone
Memory of the war
In the work of V. Belov, the theme of war occupies a significant place. The poet knew firsthand about her. She left him without a father, the post-war period was also difficult. This honest, truthful poem, filled with bitterness, was written in 1960.
On love - a special look
Accidental meeting
Joint trip
Modest views
A pleasant impression came over the young man and captured him so that he did not even notice how he drove home. They never met. The girl was met by relatives, and the young man helped her. Tired and sad, he returned home and thought about where else he would meet such a girl.
The originality of the poem lies in the fact that the most cherished feeling of a person is associated with the sound of a bell. Probably because the bell is the ringing of the soul. A most interesting association appears before the reader: love is in tune with the bell ringing, as if bells ring in the soul. And the bells are a church. And the church is a wedding. It turns out that this is where the ties stretch.

The connection of name and life
What are our names associated with? With everything in the world around. How did we come up with names? In the 60-70s of the twentieth century - not according to the horoscope, but as the parents would like to see the kids - hardworking, loving the field, meadows, forest, cornflowers, glorious workers.
Rats, tanks and soldiers
The prototype of the hero of the story "Rats with Red Eyes" is Boris Stepygin, who was attended by a funeral in 1942. Mistakenly. Then he became a Hero of the Soviet Union. Stepygin did not like being asked how he became a sniper. To his friend, writer Viktor Belov, he still told the story of rats. And he wrote a story.
When the Germans went as a whole tank column, the soldiers had to retreat. To the station, they wound in open areas, like hares. But the soldiers did not have time to use the ammunition at the station. The lieutenant ordered to blow up the warehouse, and the main character was the first to rush into the dungeons. Then there was a roar, he was stunned, and he was in the warehouse alone. He failed. And he did not know who was there outside: his own or the Germans.
He dug for a long time, looking for a way out. Convincing himself that there was a way out, he talked to himself. He told himself how he noticed a dandelion before the descent.
When rats, like Germans, in hordes led by the leader, came at him, he, like a sniper, aimed at the leader and got into him. Then the rats ran away, and then again went on the attack with a new leader.
In a conversation with himself, the soldier called himself a traitor, because he was ordered to detonate ammunition, but he did not. And now I did not know who was there outside: ours or Germans. And he guessed: after all, rats came from somewhere. And there must be a hole or hole. He found a place to put a grenade. The explosion widened the gap between the wall and the blockage, and through it he climbed out and saw the same dandelion.
So Viktor Belov found out how his friend Stepygin became a sniper. The former soldier asked the writer only that he no longer asked questions.
Radio host
V. Belov spent about 30 years broadcasting on Belogorye. He prepared many vivid radio essays. The subjects of the broadcasts were wide: agriculture, industry, the work of Belgorod poets. Despite the variety of characters invited, their different ages, transfers were successful. Viktor Ivanovich had a pleasant voice and was always sincerely attentive to the interlocutor.
