For the national artist Viktor Proskurin, there are no roles, large and small: in each he gives all the best. This is his life credo.
Family and childhood
Viktor Alekseevich Proskurin is a native Muscovite, although he was born on February 8, 1952 in distant Kazakhstan, where his parents were on a business trip. His father, a simple working excavator, was a man of severe temper and explosive nature and, as it turned out, passed these features to his son. Mom was a railway worker. The family lived on the outskirts of Moscow in the Taganka district in barracks.
Vitya has been a difficult child since childhood, and if he had not come to his senses in time, it is not known where fate would have brought him along with his hooligan friends. And along with this, he read Yesenin and participated in the work of the school literary circle. He dreamed of becoming a clown and even made an attempt to enter the circus and theater school, but did not fit in age. When he was subsequently asked whether it was true that he wanted to make people laugh, he replied: "He always wanted to be different, like Nikulin."
Then he began to run to the rehearsals of the theater studio of the House of Pioneers and the House of Culture "Salute", where he was noticed by the assistant director, who was looking for boys for the film "Chapaya's Eagles". So began his acting career.
Returning from the filming of the film, Victor realized that he had matured significantly compared to his classmates. Indeed, there, in the Crimea, next to him were great actors, for whom he was not a boy, but a partner.
Proskurin leaves an ordinary school in the evening and gets a job. Parents trusted their son and did not argue with his choice, only they were very afraid of the large salary at that time that he brought home. They decided that the guy again contacted his childhood friends. And he just worked well.
Study
The dream of entering a theater university did not leave the young man, and after graduating from school he applied immediately to three educational institutions - the Moscow Art Theater School, GITIS and the Shchukin School. But none of them took him. A stubborn young man in a year again storms the famous "Pike" and achieves success, however, only in an additional set. For those 64 mistakes that Viktor made in the composition, the title “Symbol of the primeval ignorance” was assigned to him for a long time. But the main thing - he studied at the acting department, in the workshop of T. Kopteva, and in his spare time earned money on unloading cars.
In his last year, he was invited to shoot the film "Big Break." Of course, if the university authorities knew about this, he would not have been greeted, but, fortunately, the film was released after graduation.
Career
The role of Genka Lyapishev immediately brought fame to Viktor Proskurin, and the strong cast of the film taught a lot in practice. The artist throughout his creative life was in demand by directors. In total, his filmography contains about 130 film and television filming.
But at first it did not work out with the theater. Thanks to the distribution, the actor enters the Taganka Theater and for three months does not receive a single role, even in extras.
Mark Zakharov calls him to Lenkom. Proskurin, although not immediately, but agrees. On the stage of this theater, over 10 years of service, many talented images were created that were remembered by the viewer.
After Lenkom, the artist has been serving at the Maria Yermolova Academic Theater for almost 25 years and leaves it in the 12th year at the behest of the new artistic director.
As he dreamed of as a child, the ingenious artist played a great many diverse roles, choosing them only at the behest of the heart. And not one of them was forgotten.
Bad character
The actor does not hide, and his colleagues confirm that the character of Proskurin is not very accommodating. He never compromises, or goes "with a creak", which greatly, at times, interferes with work. He carefully selects roles and always makes corrections and notes to them. Perhaps that is why it is rarely removed from one director twice.
Only Eldar Ryazanov allowed the artist to “flirt” in “Cruel Romance”. The image of Vozhevatov is considered one of the best works of Proskurin.
